Q:AIR BAG LIFTED SUSPENSION ?????????????????/?

just from pulling the handle wont activate the alarm, these are normal on low end vehicles with OEM alarms. if u get an aftermarket one. they can even go off if some one came to close to the vehicle

Q:I am going to need to build a suspension system for a hand made small car-like creation (which has wheels) which will need to carry a load over some hilly terrain.For the suspension system I will need use rubber bands and other things. Leaf springs are multi layered. Imagine a single 2x4, 10 feet long. Put up saw horses, and lay your 2x4 on top. Nail each end of the board to the horses. Climb on top and walk across the 2x4, it will sag most at the half way point. Now cut a second 3x4, 6 feet long. Place it two feet in from each end. Nail it and walk across again. This time it will not bow as much, and if you add another 2x4, four feet long. One foot in on each side from the ends of the six foot board. Nail it and climb up. It may not bow at all and if it dose bow it will be a fraction of the single ten foot boards bow. That's a leaf spring, it's layered. You could use a Popsicle stick and get the same results. A coil spring is tempered coil of steel that is designed to support a predetermined weight. It starts out longer and compresses under the load. It can't be compressed it the point of letting the suspension and the frame meet. That's where the bounce comes from, it's loaded with the vehicles weight, and is able to contract and expand just a little more, without the Components touching. Look up torsion bar suspension, it's really cool. .

Lotus is right except for the fact that it will cost you the price of a new jeep to have them install it The Suspension lift is what will void their warranty . A body lift will not If you intend to keep this jeep then think hard about what you want to do . loosing the factory warranty is risky at best and even if the lift is done correctly does not mean that things won't go wrong with it . You see it all depends on how much you want to be responsible for . Is it your jeep or not ? Good Luck

Strut suspensions are common because they are simple and cheap to engineer and take up little volume. Multi-link independent suspenions offer more precise wheel control but are complicated, expensive and consume more volume. Semi-trailing arm rear suspensions are a simpler alternative but don't offer as precise control over wheel movement. Solid axles with leaf springs are the simplest mechanical device known to man. Solid axles with coil springs offer better ride and control at the cost of increased complexity.
