Q:First time with this problem, not sure what i‘m doing wrong here. I‘ve got a GSX-R1300 Suzuki, both my tires are fairly new, always replace the valve stems when I change out the tires also. Couple of months ago I checked my tire pressure on the front, when I let off the core it started spitting out air like I was still holding it. I keep my 4-way tool in my pocket all the time, so I tried tightening it, didn‘t do any good, just had to push it down in the middle for it to pop back up. Well, I didn‘t like that too much so I just put a new core in and left it at that. Checked my tires yesterday, sure enough it did it again, what‘s up? Are we talking dirt amp; debris getting stuck or am I having a brain fart here. I sure hope the cores are special or anything, cuz I thought they were all the same amp; I just grabbed one I had laying around from a pack i‘d bought at walmart.
Some may be slightly different. You may have to replace the whole stem. D
Q:I have a Kawasaki ZX-11 and I just got it out for the summer. I checked the tires and they were really low (about 25 psi front, 30 rear). I noticed after filling them up to the recommended 40/40 the bike feels much heavier and in some/many ways harder to control on the corners (I pretty much live on a mountain). The rear tire is new and the front is due for replacement sometime this year. The bike weighs 585-615lbs wet, and I don‘t weigh enough to really anger the thing. I want to stick with the lower PSI as I like the feel of it. I know about the dangers of running exceedingly low PSI in the tires (thinking 25psi or less), but I want to know a low, yet safe, PSI I can run on it town and on the mountain. Thanks in advance!
This Site Might Help You. RE: What PSI should you run in motorcycle tires? I have a Kawasaki ZX-11 and I just got it out for the summer. Q:Would I be rich if I came up with this project? Tired of waiting till summer to ride your motorcycle? Tired of sliding on falling on slippery pavement? Well I got training wheels you can hook right on to prevent that! Don‘t waist money on a winter car! hahaGood idea bad idea?
sylvester roper invented the 1st motorcycle in 1867. if you count steam powered motorcycles. gottlieb daimler invented the 1st gas powered motorcycle 1n 1885.
Q:Does anybody know of a 150/90/16 motorcycle tire?
150/80-16 is the closest I could find.
Q:seen a harness that allows front tire to be harnessed and the rear tire to roll on the ground
the manufacturers don't recommend coasting with the engine off because you are still turning the tranny so towing probably wouldn't be good either you could take a chain off as suggested but there is no way to remove the shaft easily
Q:2000 Kawasaki Ninja 600 e8 w/o tread or wit it? and which brand would you recommend? (specifically )
I'm currently running Metzler Sportec's and they are not to bad. I would however recommend pirelli's. My next set will be a set of Diablo's. I role an R1 and the rear doesn't stick as well as I would like it to.
Q:I changed my worn 3.00-17 rear exterior tire with a Dunlop Low Profile TT900 series tire having 80/80-17 markings but still used the old rubber interior of 3.00-17. I experienced two flat tires on separate occasions each time I had a backrider with me. Shop guy suggested I use a 2.50-17 rubber interior because the 3.00-17 interior inside the 80/80-17 exterior tire is too big. My question is, what do these numbers on the tires and interiors mean? And do I really have to select a more larger tire for the rear wheel than in the front or could I use the same wheel size for both front the rear of my motorcycle?
OK this is easy the numbers the old way of describing tire sizes is the 3.00-17 and that means the tire has a cross section of 3 inches and is on a 17 inch rim . now the New way of describing tires is in metric and in millimeters. So to get a replacement tire for you bike take the 3.00 inch size and multiply by 25.4 that equals 76mm all the English measured tires are 80% tires meaning that the sidewall heigth is 80% of the cross section of the tire . so the metric conversion of your tire would be 80/80/17 as for a larger size on the rear compared to the front tire. look in your owners manual or on the sticker on the bike for the proper sizing for front and rear . there are some older bikes that had the same size tire on the front and rear . my 72 Moto Guzzi has the same size front and rear , so its not unusual . as for the Interior tire or tube the convention is to have it slightly smaller than the tire size since it is inside the tire . you can also look on the tube and it should say what range of tire it was designed for. hope this helps.
Q:Alright so when i was in Myrtle Beach for bike week there was a guy who had a tire on his motorcycle and he was doing burnouts in the color of red smoke and red marks on the ground. I can not find out where to get them and would like to get one in green. The tire looked normal but left colored smoke and marks on the ground. The tire would be on a bike bigger than a harley by a long shot and it is not a cafe bike. Where do i find a tire like this?
I would have went with the o2 censor fix before believing that it was the intake and plugs and wires. I would definitely make them pay for screwing up the window. and it sounds like they screwed more than that up. o2 sensors throw lights all the time. It is very common
