Q:HelloMy question is about a 2000 Nissan AltimaThe coolant in my radiator seems to be emptying out very often. When I re-fill the radiator and start the car, coolant slowly starts dripping from below the a/c compressor. I do not know if its the a/c compressor that is leaking or some other part there. Is there a possibility that the compressor itself is leaking coolant or could it be the water pump? I checked the hoses that go in and out of the compressor and there seems to be no leak. All I can see is coolant from the bottom of the compressor dripping at a rate of, say 1 drop per 2 seconds.Thank you
check your hoses to the water pump. There should be a hole above or below the water pump shaft. This is the most likely place for a water pump to start leaking. When the bearings in the water pump start to wear out, the shaft going into the pump gets a little loose and will allow coolant to pass the seals of the pump and it comes out the seep hole at the top or bottom of the water pump.
Q:I Have a 1982 Suzuki DT8 Outboard motor, i rebuilt the water pup, new impeller, wear plate, all that. This is the first time iv run it in a barrel, it wont pump water now. But here is the thing, when i take the inspection cover off(the little round cover that lets you acces the shift linkage), and i run the motor, it will pump water. i noticed that wile i have that cover off all the exhaust comes out that hole and not out the bottom, is the exhaust getting sucked in the pump and stopping it from circulating water?

Q:vw tells me the pump is defective, bad water circulation. i noticed the fans did not turn on when it began to overheat. is that irrelevant with the pump being defective? i even drop the car cold(i started the engine and drove) within 10mins it began to overheat, but the fans did not turn on. is it just the pump? the fan switch is new, no fuses are blown. the radiator and fans are less than 2 yrs old. 2000 jetta
if the fan doesnt turn on, check the fan relay and the fan fuse.
Q:My Camry is overheating and I am assuming it is the water pump. I already changed the thermostat and that was no help. When I turn the heater on to cool off the engine, it blows cold air or the temp of the air outside most of the time and seldomly hot air. I bought a water pump, but I am not sure if this is something I can do?

Q:What is the definition of the pump in the capacity of the pump?
Work pump, spare pump, repair pump three are interchangeable use, the work pump need to overhaul, repair pump work, work pump is maintenance pump. The capacity of the water pump is not less than 25% of the work pump. If the work pump, spare pump, repair pump model is the same, the work pump 4 units, repair pump at least 1 units, 5 pumps, repair pumps need 2 units
Q:I am trying to areting my pond but air pump cost too much. I have an extra water pump available if I make two intake opening, one for water the other for air, would it work? or will it blow up the pump and kill all of my koi because it is made for pump water.
If you use a fountain spray you can add air by spraying water up in the air and letting it fall back into the pond. The best solution is to buy a pond aerator. They are available on line and at some garden centers. .
Q:Installation position of check valve for water pump
Check valves are normally installed at the pump's exit position!Check valve, also known as check valve, the specific installation needs to determine the direction of the pipeline! If the pipe in the installation position is vertical, you can choose the swing type and pipe type!If the installation position of the pipe is horizontal, you can choose the lifting type!Lift check valve opens and stops at the fastest speed! The swing check valve has the least resistance! The pipe type check valve is mostly in the form of clip type installation, which is suitable for the place where the installation distance is not enough!
Q:i need help on how to replace a water pump oil seal in a 2001 rm80...i looked everywhere...if you can get a video or detailed info that be great, thanks

Q:i have well water. suddenly i'm getting more pressure in my water. I have a well siofterner system. does anyone know what could be causing more pressure to come out from the water?/ thanks alot.
The problem is either your pressure tank or your pressure switch. Since the switch is governed by the pressure in the tank, I would suspect the switch first - not the tank. You could check your pressure tank pressure using a tire gage, and make sure it is in the owner's manual operating range. The pressure switch tells the pump when to turn on and off - which is what fills the pressure tank. To check the switch, run the water until the switch closes and the pump turns on. Note the pressure at which it turns on. Now watch the pressure as it builds and note at what pressure it turns off. If you want less pressure, adjust the switch accordingly. We have ours set to come on at 42# and turn off at 65#. Our pressure tank air setting is 35 PSI.
Q:Here is the deal...*Van over heats*Blows Cold quot;heatquot;*Coolant leaks (not into the oil)*Added coolant and water (nothing happened)*Started van, felt the hoses (no h2o flowing thru)Ive had this problem for a while. Some times my van drives just fine and heats just fine, then some days it wants to over heat and blow cool quot;heatquot;. Adding coolant to my van used to do the trick, but now its not working. If it is my thermostat that is broke, the water/coolant would still run through the hoses right?I really think its my water pump out, but I am not sure. Does this sound like my water pump? If so, I plan on changing it myself, how do i find step by step instructions to do so.... I have never done it before, but I cant afford to take it to a mechanic! Thanks for your help!
Again, see last answer to your same question. You obviously dont know what the real problem is, could be water pump and might not be. Instead of wasting over 25.00 on a water pump and that not being the problem, why dont you take it to a reputable repair facility and have the cooling system analyzed and they can tell you EXACTLY what part(s) need replacing, then go from there. Nobody can diagnose your cooling system problem over the internet since we are not at your vehicle with a coolant pressure tester and block test tool.
