Q: The one that starts out with vacuum cleaners making a squeaking noise? Damn i hate that commercial.
LOL LOL lucky lucky me I havent had the extreme displeasure of seeing that one!
Q: so I am thinking buying vacuum for hardwood floor, there is eureka 2 amps motor vacuum with cord easy clean 2 vs the dirt devil cordless 15.6 volts accu charge vacuum, I don't care about cord or cordless I just care about power, which is more powerful for suction?
the electrical measure of the motor will not tell you how good the suction is. Two vacuum cleaners with the same motor type could have very different suction strength due to the motor design and even the design of the hoses. Honestly, I have never owned a Eureka, but the company has been making vacuum cleaners of high quality for a long time. If those are your two choices - go with the Eureka.
Q: I'm a guy who isn't extremely familiar with vacuum cleaners so maybe someone can help. I was running around the house with my Kenmore Progressive vacuum cleaner and I accidentally pushed the adjustable thingy that lets you set the height of the vacuum. This adjuster thing is about halfway down the silver tube. The second I touched it, the carpet cleaning part shut off so it's just sucking air. I pushed everything together as hard as I could trying to get it to come back on but with no luck. I had been vacuuming for quite a while. Do these things shut off when they get too hot and stay off until they cool? It seems kind of fishy that it died right when i touched the adjuster thing though. Any ideas?
Lol..I was going to say to reset it! You most likely lowered it to low and it turned itself off.
Q: Hi everyone, I will be buying a new vacuum cleaner soon and would like some recommendations/ testimonials from regular users of vacuums as to which ones you all feel is/are the best. It needs to be one that is good for picking up pet hair, and doing a 3 bedroom house top to bottom, (so will be on for a good while when in use), also the cost needs to be under ?200. many thanks.
seem into vacuums which includes a rainbow which keeps the airborne dirt and mud in water in the vacuum extremely then spit into the air OR get a vacuum that have Hepa filters on it. those form with the Hepa filters catch the airborne dirt and mud from escaping into the air. I propose you call a used vacuum broking and gets some suggestions of what they have. good success!
Q: It's gross, but there is a ton of human hair and a bit of pet hair on our floors. We've used several different vacuums, but the hair wraps around the roller and it doesn't pick up anything. Can you recommend a vacuum that will not get tangled?
Talk to some one about Riccar, they have some kind of promotion on there products that are famous for vacuuming up hair.
Q: Okay so I realize how dumb this question sounds. I have severe OCD. You know how a toilet sends particles into the air when you flush it? Well, does the same happen with a vacuum cleaner? Like, if I vacuumed my room, would all the particles on my floor go into the air/onto my stuff? I hate that I need this reassurance-but could somebody please explain to me in detail? Much appreciated(:
Even with a hepa filter vacuum cleaner, you will get some dust particles too small for the filter to trap, so yes you will get some of the stuff you are trying to vacuum and capture back into the room air. Using the hepa however will make things much better. I live in a house with allergy sufferers and since going to 3-M electrostatic filters in the air handler and getting hepa filter vacuum cleaner, things are much better all around. I am called OCD all the time, but I realize that I am not, but just a bit compulsive; however I am fully aware of the condition and know that you can be miserable and sometimes immobilized, so try these things and see if they might help you.
Q: Is it because of cost? What they say about central vacs that makes portable vacuum cleaners look bad? Storage issues? Cost to maintain? Reliability? Hype? Being forced to buy one over a portable?
I've never owned a house with a suitable location for a central vac. I have worked in houses that had them, and if you were anywhere in the vicinity of the central unit while it was in use, it was as loud as a jet taking off. You wouldn't want to be there without ear protection. I'd want to put it in its own soundproof room. I have used central vacs quite a bit, since I was a housecleaner for 6 years, and they didn't particularly impress me.
Q: How come Hulk Hogan never got an endorsement deal with Brother Vacuum Cleaners, Brother?
Because brother didnt like him
Q: In other words, why are some electric motors very quiet but others are so loud? Why can't they make a quiet vacuum cleaner?
The noise of a vacuum does not come from the motor, but from the eddies in the air being sucked. Open a vacuum cleaner and remove the impeller (the fan) and it would get a lot more quiet.
Q: what brand is a good brand for vacuum cleaners other than dyson?
Well Hoover Is good as long as you pick out a good model not a cheapo one. I own a Simplicity That has been Pretty good. I have had It for like 12 years or so. They also go by two brand names one being less money I think and both are made In the USA! And Eureka Is good.
