Q:i have been wanting to learn for a while now but i can only find one place and they wanna charge me $325 for classes! i dont know anyone who has a motorcycle so is there another other option? also, what do i need to get my motorcycle license (or whatever its called)
Nobody can really teach you how to ride a motorcycle. You learn on your own, by riding. The MSF course is a good idea because they teach you some good safety habits, but you don't learn to ride in a weekend. After the MSF course you go out on your own to learn to ride. That's why you get a learner's permit. But it's not that hard that you need lessons. Get a used bike, get a learner's permit, and ride around slowly in a quiet residential neighborhood until you get the controls memorized, until you don't have to take a split second to remember which is the brake.
Q:I‘m currently on a deployment, and I‘m trying to learn about how Motorcycles work while I have down time.I don‘t know anything about them, but I‘ve always loved riding on them growing up, and I‘ve had a little practice driving my Dads. Anyways, he found a deal for me through a friend and I figured if he thought it was a good deal (and doing a little research it seemed to be), so I bought it. I‘d like to read up before I get home so I know how to take care of it.I personally don‘t know much about cars other then the basics, changing tires, oil and filters ect. When I crashed it I got a lot of hands on expiernce fixing it myself, with guidence from online research and phonecalls to my Dad. But I don‘t even know how to change the oil of a bike haha, or when it would be due. So any info, tips, advice would be helpful. What I have is a 2006 Yamaha 650 V Star, if that has any significants.
Google it hehehe Please be safe tho motorcycles are very dangerous!
Q:My motorcycle, after the pinched, like the clutch can not slide (forward and backward), to hit the fire he washed like a good later, I changed the clutch set. Spent more than a hundred fast, how. Feeling the shift when the chain across the ring,
Our motorcycle engine is used in the oil separation, because after a period of time in the park, the clutch above the oil traces of protective layer off, so you start, pull the clutch, hanging gear on the kind of feeling out, no problem. If you do not often ride, it is recommended that you come to the next three to launch. As for your flame, I suspect that the carburetor parked for a long time, there are oxides, to clean just fine. The car is put bad.
Q:Can be more detailed? The For example, look at the car engine. Or what? The
Since the big displacement will go to their own do not like to get a small displacement of thousands of cars and very few smuggling of domestic locomotives are second-hand want to smuggle locomotives Oh you see how much money
Q:I'm new to motorcycles, and don't know a lot. I've always been a fan and I am finally buying my first one, but I don't have anybody to teach me a lot of the basics. I just recently got the basics of gear shifting up and down, but I don't know how to go from say fifth to first or fourth second , if I need to rapidly slow down or make an extreme stop.I understand that neutral is right after first, can I jump from 1st past neutral to 2nd.I also would like to know the rpm range I should be in for the different gears 1st 2nd 3rd etc.Plus a side question. When I go to one of these schools to get my endorsement, do I have to bring my own bike? or do they usually provide one? meaning do I have to trailer my bike there?I know it's a lot to take in, but this is coming from a person who has very little experience, so helpful answers would be greatly appreciated.
Bike transmissions are sequential, meaning that you have to go thru the numbers to get wherever you're going. E.g. only gears available from 4th are 5th and third. You can only change one gear at a time as I'm sure you've seen. So to go from 5th to first you have to downshift 4 times. Whether you release the clutch and allow the transmission to slow you down in each gear is a riding decision you make when you know what you're doing. Sometimes you need to stop too fast to mess with the gears and you just pull in the clutch and hit the brakes. RPM range to shift is totally dependent on the bike and your riding style. If you're in a hurry, you shift at the redline. If not, you shift when you feel like the bike needs to shift. Many beginner motorcycles (and some big 'cycles) don't even have a tachometer, so getting the feel is more important than reading the gauge. Not sure where you are, but around here you have to take your own bike to take the rider's test OR you can get a waiver for the rider's test if you pass a authorized course on their bikes.
Q:I know how to drive a car of manual, automatic and I have my license and I‘m 18 years old. But I was thinking ? Buying a motorcycle because there cheaper and less gas. But driving a motorcycle it‘s going to be my first time. And i know ima have to take courses. But I don‘t know what too chose because motorcycles look interesting, and more funner. But I love cars also. But I have to choose one those transportations . Not two Please give an advice (:
Definitely a car.motorcycles are just fast bikes for fun.and only in nice weather. With a car you can go shopping, keep a lot of things you need inside when you have a lot of things to doit's like your own little moving house.
Q:Well I‘m 14 but wanted to start thinking what type of vehicle I wanted when I turn 16 and I‘m not a car guy--I don‘t dream about them, I don‘t think about them, I just don‘t much care. But I was thinking of trying to get a motorcycle to save gas (seriously, close to 100 mpg ?!?! that is insane!). But I‘ve always been fearful of motorcycles cause they just look more dangerous (I‘m sure flying off motorcycles in GTA doesn‘t help at all lol)
Yes But Get All The Right Safety Gear 1. Gloves 2. Helmet 3. Good Boots 4. CE Approved Protective Jacket 5. CE Approved Protective Trousers Bikes Aren't Practical And Yhoo Get Very Wet If It Rains. So I Personally Wouldn't Use One As My ONLY Mode Of Transport Tbh. If Yhoo Decide To Have A Bike Just Ride Carefully And Cautiously. And Remember That Not All Vehicles On The Road Can See Yhoo All The Time. Try Not To Get Into Peoples' Mirrors' Blind Spots. And Also Wear Bright Clothing As Well. Ride With Yhoor Headlights On All The Time. Get Third Party Fire And Theft Insurance. That Way If Somebody Steals Yhoor Bike Yhoo Are Protected. If Yhoo Get Third Party Only, Yhoo WONT Be Covered. Also Fully Comprehensive Is The Best, But Can Be Expensive. Shop Around And Get Some Quotes. Good Luck, Safe Riding --Mikey B--
Q:so i just started riding an 03 dynawide glide harley.any tips on braking, as in , when to use my back breaks and when to use my frontsfor now im heavy on the breaks and only use the fronts when im already going slow or sitting at a light. any newbie advance will be appreciated
ITS the blind leading the blind. Look at it this way. tyres have a lot more grip now than they did a few years ago. disc brakes work well. If you grab a hand full of front brake you dont lock the front wheel the brakes are good enough to stand the bike on its front wheel SO the rear is doing nothing because its not touching the road FRONT BRAKES ARE 100% OF YOUR STOPPING POWER. if you learn to use the front as above (grab a handfull not lock up) you will be stopping as quickly as possible I learn to do this on every bike I ownpractice it often it saves my life but I do throw the bike down the road now then costs me for new indicators or levers worth the price because I know how to stop in a hurry. GO DO A COURSE worth every cent it costs you
Q:hello 9i have an older honda motorcycle and it runs but has been sitting for awhile. the back tire seems to be locked up, any ideas how to get it to roll?
Pads stuck to the disc, or shoes stuck to the inside of the drum. Get a rubber mallet and give the calliper or drum plate a couple of good smacks, that should be enough of a shock to break the two surfaces apart. If that does not work its going to need a full brake strip down .
