Q:How to repair the motorcycle after the brake is not so good, with sandpaper polished several times friends, with a few back, it is not so good, is to stop the brakes do not stand.
Change the brake for the ancient, for the brake pads, check the brake system of the spring, the reed, check the brake lever, pedal has no deformation, in short, the brake system overhaul, the change for the buy and buy parts to change the best you With the rest assured. From the inner language, hope to adopt.
Q:Which brake is important before and after the motorcycle?
When you are in danger you will know that the front and rear brakes are important!
Q:Why do motorcycles usually have two brake rotors at the front wheel, whereas cars do fine with one per wheel?
More is better! Actually due to the HIGH CENTER OF GRAVITY of a motorcycle (i.e. high seating position of the rider, and the rider is much of the weight) the amount of weight transfer forward to the front wheel is greater than the weight transfer that occurs for most cars, so this justifies big front brakes or multiple front brakes. Note: some bikes have single front brakes, but it is better to have 2 and most have 2, as it distributes the heat for better cooling so better sustained braking feel. For cars also it isn't very handy to put on 2 rotors because we don't place the wheel between suspension forks like a motorcycle, so if bigger brakes are needed, a larger single rotor is installed just on the inside of the wheel. Otherwise how would you propose to connect the second rotor to the outside of the wheel?
Q:How do you perform compression braking? This is what I do:I close the throtle all the way.I downshift.I release the clutch.I apply both brakes. And I come to a stop with a weired shake.some say I have to downshift and while the clutch is pulled in I have to apply both brakes. Is it wrong to downshift and apply both brakes all at the same time. Or is what i‘m doing correct?
the proper way to stop is to apply the clutch, downshift, hold the clutch in and apply both brake s at the same time. If you release the clutch and close the throttle, you are using compression braking or using the engine to brake. You are putting extra wear on the engine and brakes are much cheaper to replace.
Q:Empty brake fluid from a motorcycle and replace master cylinder?
Of course the new cylinder can get air in the line but that is the reason to bleed off that air. Best way I've found is to drain all you can out of the bottom end than replace the new master, run a clear hose from the nipple to a jar with some fresh fluid already in the jar (that keeps the air from coming back up the into the system as you pour and close off the cylinder as you bleed it out.
Q:HelloI‘ve been looking at different motorcycles and all of them, when you pull on the lever, will make a nice click. Now, I wonder, what does it mean when it doesn‘t make this click? I ask this because there‘s one bike I like and that particular bike doesn‘t do the clicking sound.
Floating rotors. It's supposed to be an improvement. I haven't noticed any difference. The click took a little while to get used to. E: 3 Thumbs? My brake switches have always been silent. Mine ALWAYS work. I suggest you guys start checking yours.
Q:What sound do motorcycle brakes make when they lock?
I agree with Jimmy, once the brakes lock up they no longer make any sound because they're not turning. The sound you hear is the tire sliding on the road. This is definitely not a preferred sound. If you think you have a problem with your brakes locking up, you need to stop riding the bike immediately and get it checked. Like Jimmy said, if the front locks up, worse case you're over the bars and best case the front end slides out from under you and you're down anyway. Stop riding it and get it fixed!
Q:What is the drum brake ah there is no detailed description of the motorcycle knowledge site can tell me
The brakes on the inside of the brakes are the position of the brake torque. In the case of obtaining the same braking torque, the diameter of the brake drum of the drum brake device may be much smaller than the brake disc of the disc brake. Therefore, large vehicles for heavy loads can only be equipped with drum brakes in a limited space for wheels to obtain a strong braking force.
Q:So I‘m taking a couple of private lessons before i take the MSF, I‘m having trouble stopping the bike smoothly from 2nd gear. The instructor told me to brake first and then clutch + downshift, Is it possible to just brake and clutch, then downshift after I‘m stopped?
Brake first, 80% of braking is done with the wheel only. The clutch and downshift are part of the same step, the idea of the downshift is to get into 1 while you're moving and able to move your foot. Not only are instructors good riders, they are good instructors, can't be said about a lot of good riders.
Q:how do i bleed my gas utv i added the brake fluid but i think it needs to be bleed PLEASE HELP ME
i dont really understand the question. Go on youtube, type in bleed in there and it will come up
