- Q: I just bought one of those stackable washers and dryers, an LG. So we set it all up and checked that it is level on all sides but during the spin cycle it vibrates the floor to the point where things fall off the counter... What can be causing this and what can I do to stop it??? (I set the spin cycle on low, and it still vibrates ALOT).
- Dense rubber pads help cushion any vibration, but there is another point to consider. There is now extra weight concentrated on the floor - are the support beams underneath strong enough to bear this weight? The vibration of a nearby countertop is a clue. Without further construction, which might not be possible if the beams below are finished and covered, add a couple of pieces of 2 x 4 lumber underneath two feet each. This spreads the weight more evenly, as well as giving extra support. These can be painted to match your decor before placing them.

- Q: I'm intrested in buying a flintlock muzzleloader shotgun. What ther powders are there instead of black powder. I live in the UK and you need a permint to buy the stuff. I can buy peroxide on a shotgun permit, but not BP. I have heard there is a black powder subsitute of some sort, that make a big bang, and produces alot of smoke, but is more stable than BP.Cheers guys
- Here is what's available for black powder substitutes in the U.S. I don't know if any of these are available in the UK, but at least you know what to ask for now. Black powder isn't unstable at all. It will burn very violently when ignited; more so than most smokeless powders do. Because of it's nature, it is more closely regulated here than regular smokeless powders and their substitutes. Most places wont carry it because of the extra paperwork involved in its sale. In my opinion, it is the best thing to use in a muzzle loading rifle, or black powder cartridge rifle, and I probably use about 10 pounds of it or more a year.
- Q: I'm considering buying a 3.5 cu ft front loader, I've search and can not find just how much this machine will hold. Wondering if anyone out there can help. Also, any opinions on the Frigidaire. Thanks
- I was like you until recently, couldn't decide between top or front loader. I ended up getting a front loader haven't looked back. It's a beauty! Washes extremely well doesn't use much water. It is a 7kg, plenty big enough but I would have preferred a faster spin speed than 800rpm I do advise getting a machine that measures the amount of water required for the load. I will never go back to a top loader. All the best!!!

- That link will allow you to fix GRUB after Windows wipes it out. To be honest, GRUB is the best way to boot into Ubuntu or Windows. Windows doesn't play will with other and as such their boot loader really isn't the best way to have a dual boot (windows/linux). Here are some tips to make GRUB look more like how you want it: * The driver (file that tells the computer how GRUB is to be displayed) is located at /boot/grub/grub.cfg * Always backup grub.cfg before editing it so that you can always restore it later if you mess something up. * The first entry on the list is always booted first. This should be the OS you want to default load each time you turn on your computer.

- try GRUB- its open source and 100% free. I dual boot windows and ubuntu linux with it and it works like a charm. I'm not sure how you would install or anything, try googling it.
- Q: So I bought several bottles of laundry detergent to donate to my local SPCA. They smelled good and I decided I'd like to keep a bottle to try for myself, but I noticed there is an HE (high efficiency) symbol on the front, along with quot;for ALL front and top loadersquot;. - You can use HE detergent in a top loader, any kind of top loader. But, because top loaders have more water in them, you have to use more detergent than you would in a front loader. Twice as much. Look on the back of the bottle. There should be amounts given for each type of washer. I've been using HE detergent in my ordinary top loader for some years now. You don't even need as much as the directions say, either, unless the clothes are very dirty. I usually use only as much as they say to use for an HE washer, half as much as the bottle says, and my clothes come out fine

- Scientifically front loaders are better because the garments get more mechanical action from the rising and falling as the drum turns. This action helps the soaps to work better and the clothes to get pounded a bit more. Also, rinsing is better and spinning is also better. As for detergents, you can use normal detergent in a front loader and do not need to buy HE (expensive) soaps. Just use about 1/2 of the normal dose of soap. If you ever use too much and the machine has to much sudsing, add some liquid fabric softener to the soap dispenser and flush it down with a glass of water during the cycle.
- Q: I have hacked my PSP to 6.35 CFW and I have downloaded the ISO Loader. when I click on it to start it, it says select iso but there is nothing there to choose but when I see videos on YouTube their is. Do I have to use the ISO loader to play Iso games from the iternet. Do I have to use it. All I want to play is downloaded games. Also I have created an ISO folder on my psp and when I place my downloaded game onto it, when I go into my game section actually on my psp it doesn't appear. Do I have to put some extra files into the iso folder. My version is now 6.35PRO so I know it is hacked but how do I download games to place them onto it. Do I need the iso loader. Pleas help.
