Q:need to find beer with a PLASTIC mini kegthank you
I've never heard of anything like that. The only mini kegs I know are steel. I don't even think there are any beers that are sold in plastic containers.
Q:Can ground cover plants be used to create a green roof?
Yes, ground cover plants can be used to create a green roof. These low-growing plants provide excellent ground cover and can be planted on rooftops to enhance aesthetics, reduce stormwater runoff, improve air quality, and provide insulation. They also help to reduce energy consumption and contribute to urban biodiversity.
Q:Can nursery trays be used for propagating houseplants?
Yes, nursery trays can be used for propagating houseplants. Nursery trays provide a convenient and space-efficient way to start new plants from cuttings or seeds. The trays are typically designed with multiple compartments, allowing for easy organization and monitoring of plant growth. They also provide adequate drainage and aeration, which are essential for successful propagation.
Q:What are the advantages of using plastic seedling tubes in forestry?
Plastic seedling tubes offer several advantages in forestry. Firstly, they provide protection to young seedlings against weather conditions, pests, and browsing animals, increasing their survival rate. Secondly, these tubes create a microclimate that promotes faster growth and development of seedlings, leading to earlier establishment in the field. Additionally, plastic tubes allow for easier handling and transportation of seedlings, reducing the risk of damage during planting. Moreover, the transparent nature of the tubes enables easy monitoring and evaluation of seedling growth, facilitating better management practices. Overall, plastic seedling tubes offer a cost-effective and efficient solution for promoting successful reforestation efforts.
Q:How can PP membranes and PE membranes be distinguished in real life?
Both from the density alone is difficult to distinguish, PP film density is generally 0.91, while the density of PE film in 0.92-0.96, little difference.
Q:What are the different types of plastic tubing used in irrigation systems?
There are several types of plastic tubing commonly used in irrigation systems, including polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and polypropylene (PP). PE tubing is flexible, durable, and resistant to chemicals, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. PVC tubing is rigid, strong, and easy to install, often used for mainline or lateral pipes. PP tubing is known for its high temperature resistance and is commonly used in greenhouse irrigation systems.
Q:i know that you use foam to create a model and when metal is poured on top of it it evaporates on contact but what about if you tried it with regular common plastic models and put a runner and riser hole for the plastic to vent similar to sand casting
Any organic material can be used to make a casting mold including twigs, other wood and plastics, as long as it is burned out before the metal solidifies. The problem with using anything other than foam is that foam is mostly air that is surrounded by a small amount of plastic. When the plastic is hit by the hot metal, it burns/gases off without cooling the metal enough to block its flow. For any solid organic material, the investment must be fired/baked to a high enough temperature to turn the material to ash which can be blown into the vents by the flowing metal.
Q:Can nursery trays be used for starting trees from seeds?
Yes, nursery trays can be used for starting trees from seeds. These trays provide an ideal environment for seed germination and early growth, with their compartments allowing for separate care of individual seedlings. The trays also help in managing moisture levels, preventing root entanglement, and facilitating easy transplanting when the seedlings are ready to be moved to larger pots or directly into the ground.
Q:What are the advantages of using plastic mulch in agriculture?
Plastic mulch offers several advantages in agriculture, including weed control, moisture conservation, temperature regulation, and increased crop yield. It acts as a physical barrier to suppress weed growth, reducing competition for nutrients and water. The mulch also helps retain soil moisture by reducing evaporation, allowing plants to access water for a longer time. Additionally, plastic mulch can regulate soil temperature, creating optimal conditions for plant growth. This, in turn, leads to higher crop yields and improved quality.
Q:I have 24 plastic bowls and cups in my cabinet that are 20 years old. Today, I ate macaroni and cheese (with milk) out of one of these bowls. After I was finished, I realized just how old that bowl was. I called my mom and she told me that eating out of those bowls was going to kill me. She told me to throw all of my old plastic dining things away. Is my mother over-reacting? Will this old plastic damage my health?
www.okorder /... I had to look it up Evan so I am not smarter than any of the other answerers but your mom is right...to a certain extent...don't heat up plastic containers...or anything with plastic on it...other containers are better to use for your health if you look at the article above. I eat my salad out of a plastic dish and as a child I had plastic cups. A lot of health nuts waste a lot of water bottles made of plastic every time they go for a run and want to get hydrated..that's not environmentally friendly even if plastic is recyclable and will be used again ...but it's a lot better to get a proper drinking container and fill that with Brita filtered water from the frige..that water is as good as bottled water and you only usually need to replace the filter every 2 months so in the end if you get a container to store Brita filtered water in your fridge..and empty it, you can refill it with tap water...the filter will take all the stuff that is unhealthy out of the tap water..as some tap water is not safe to drink...and water one can buy in plastic bottles is expensive and not a help to the environment...x
