Solar panel working process
In addition to being the ultimate source of all life on earth, the sun is an infinitely renewable, completely pollution-free source of electricity. Instead of burning fossil fuels dug up from the ground in a big power plant – a very 19th century, industrial age approach, when you think about it – solar panels convert sunlight directly into electricity, with no harmful emissions.
The basic unit of a solar panel is a solar cell, which usually consists of one or two layers of silicon-based semiconductor wafers. When struck by the photons in sunlight, the solar cell generates an electrical charge due to the "photovoltaic effect" – which is a pretty good name, since it produces voltage from photons. The flow of these electrons moves in a steady electrical current from one side of the cell to the other.
Dozens of these PV cells are packaged together into solar modules, which in turn are packaged into solar panels that are mounted on a rooftop and arranged to maximize their hours of exposure to direct sunlight. Because the electricity generated by all those solar cells is direct current (DC), it is then sent to an inverter that transforms the power into the same alternating current (AC) used by the appliances in your home and the local utility electricity distribution grid. Increasingly, these inverters are getting "smart," providing data monitoring for solar installation performance and other grid integration services.
FAQ
We have organized several common questions for our clients, may help you sincerely:
③Can you provide the peripheral products of the solar panels, such as the battery, controller, and inverter? If so, can you tell me how do they match each other?
Yes, we can, we have two companies for solar region, one is CNBM International, the other is CNBM engineering Co.
We can provide you not only the solar module but also the off grid solar system, we can also provide you service with on grid plant.
④What is your warranty system?
Our product performance guarantees for 25 years
• 12 years guarantee for workmanship
• Timeliness of delivery
• Quality Products certified (TÜV, UL, CE, ISO)
⑤How do you pack your products?
We have rich experience on how to pack the panels to make sure the safety on shipment when it arrives at the destination.
- Q:How can solar panels be integrated into building designs?
- Solar panels can be integrated into building designs by incorporating them into the structure or facade of the building. This can be done by installing solar panels on the roof, as awnings, or as part of the building's walls or windows. Additionally, innovative designs like solar shingles or solar glass can also seamlessly integrate solar panels into the overall aesthetics of the building.
- Q:How Is heat From the Sun Transferred into Currents From solar Panels? (Explain Deeply Please)
- Solar panels are made of solar cells.Solar cells are mainly made of a semiconductor called silicon, when sunshine on it,solar energy is converted into electrical energy by photovoltaic. The energy knocks electrons loose, allowing them to flow freely. This flow of electrons is a current, this current, together with the cell's voltage (which is a result of its built-in electric field or fields), defines the power (or wattage) that the solar cell can produce.
- Q:Has anyone had any experience building their own solar panels for home use? I have seen on the news lately that people are utilizing solar panels to power their hot water heaters to save on their power bill.
- Hey David, yes, we have built plenty of them. If you are into the do it yourself world, the easiest type to build is the Batch Preheater type. What you need is an old water heater, something small, like an under counter model, 0 to 30 gallons in size. It has to be one that hasn't rusted out yet and started leaking. We stopped at a local plumbing place in town, they are always throwing out units they have removed from homes because the new owner wants a larger unit, or gas versus electric, and so on. He sold us a pretty recent model for $0. Take the water heater home, and strip off the outer metal housing and all the insualtion so all you have left is the tank. Clean it up, and paint it with black paint. Now build a wood enclosure, something the size of a dog house that your tank will fit inside of. Use a glass panel for one side of the roof. What works best is an old window pane someone is throwing out that is about the right size, then build your dog house to fit it. When it's done, put some styrofoam insulation panels around the back and side walls to keep the heat in when the sun shines on it, then mount your tank inside. Put your dog house someplace in the sun, run the cold water that normally feeds into your water heater into the tank (in the cold inlet side), then run a pipe from the outlet of the tank to your regular water heater. We have one just like this installed in the northern midwest, it works great about 7 months of the year. Usually in the summer if it's about 75 degrees outside, the water comes into the house at around 00 degrees, then the regular water heater only needs to add another 25 degrees to the water to finish it off. Since the water starts out at about 56 degrees, the solar preheater ends up doing about 65% of the work. In the winter, we simply drain the tank and lines to and from it, and route the cold water directly to the regular water heater. There are some designs on line, try googling, Batch Water Preheater. Take care, Rudydoo
- Q:What maintenance is required for solar panels?
- Regular maintenance for solar panels includes cleaning the surface to remove dirt and debris, inspecting for any damage or loose connections, and monitoring the system's performance to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Q:I have been thinking about getting solar panels for my house. What do you think I should get? Companies? Prices? I also have another question. How much energy can a small solar panel produce?
- so, you think that the best idea is to just keep focusing on oil and not to try to compete? EVERY CON I've talked to on here goes on and on about how green energy is a bad idea? yet, here's China, with a focused goal and actually making it happen... wonder how far we would be in the US without the cons fighting us every step of the way... how's that buggy whip business going cons? THAT'S what we mean when we say thanks to Republicans do you think green energy isn't going to happen? China's already doing it... we can either catch up, or give up... and give up has a big unempmloyment rate attached to it...
- Q:I got an 8v solar panel for a project today, the only problem is that it came without any wires attached to it. Now i don't know what type of wires i should use and if i should solder them on or if i should use epoxy instead. Can anybody help me out?
- Most epoxy is not very conductive. I would go with solder.
- Q:We see increasing, what appear to be, solar panels on electric poles?
- Solar powered street lights . They work really well but expensive
- Q:All I know is they check for amps watts voltage and everything... they dont have to be used for solar panels but um they have like alittle spinny thing in the middle of them. you spin it around to what you wanna test such as the amps watts voltage and stuff.... idk what their called but im looking to buy one to test my solar panels when they come in
- Voltmeter.
- Q:We are thinking about useing solar panels for our house.Does anyone know about solar panels? If so could you please tell me some information on them, and the cost for a home,to install them.
- big subject for this forum so you would be better asking specific questions how about an air source heat pump instead in the loft or outside, works all year round, no messing with the roof, price varies of course depending on what you want but 30 - 50% of the cost of solar see trianco website
- Q:I need to be able to charge a 2v 7amp battery with a solar panel. I understand that the charge controller will keep the battery from over charging/discharging, but what I don't understand is the amps. The solar panel is rated at 5watts.The solar panel comes with a 2v 3amp charge controller but will I need to buy a 7amp charge controller and replace it with that for my battery pack? Please explain. Thanks in advance.
- In digital circuitry almst anything is viable. Virtually. The changing of voltages and currents is most of the time viable however not constantly effective. Sure it is extremely easy to make use of the 24 volt energy panel to charge a 2V financial institution, offered that the 24 volt supply has the fundamental current potential to hande the load.
