- Q: Don't say this is a stupid questionI'm really not sure lolIt seems like nothing is made of tin, of my knowledgeThey seem to use aluminum for everything, even the Tin Man's costume was made of aluminumTin foil is now aluminum foilIs it just cheaper to use aluminum than tin, or is tin a limited resource?

- Q: I usually wrap my child's sandwich (slice of bread and salami or ham etc) in aluminum foilThey prefer it this way because they say that the tables at school are so yuckySo they can unfold their sandwich and lay it down inbetween bitesI thought that was ideal, until somebody just told me that it was a health hazard because of the aluminum.IS THIS TRUE? WHAT HAVE YOU HEARD?
- That's just it doesn't unravel.
- Q: 1Write balanced chemical equations for each of the following reactionsDon’t forget to indicate phaseIf a precipitate forms, circle itIf all “products” are predicted to be soluble, indicate that there is no reaction by writing “NR”aAqueous sodium iodide is mixed with aqueous silver nitratebAqueous potassium hydroxide is mixed with lead(II) nitratecAqueous magnesium nitrate is mixed with aqueous sodium phosphatedAqueous barium nitrate is mixed with sulfuric acideAqueous aluminum nitrate is mixed with aqueous ammonium sulfidefAqueous lead(II) nitrate is mixed with sodium sulfate.
- You get a definitive reaction if a portion of the reactants leave the solution, either by becoming a gas or by becoming a precipitateThat being said: a) Silver iodide precipitates so there is a reaction b) lead hydroxide will tend to precipitate so there is a reaction c) Magnesium phosphate will tend to precipitate so there is a reactiond) Barium sulphate is not very soluble so there is a reaction e) Aluminum sulphide will tend to precipitate so there is a reaction f) Lead sulphate should tend to precipitate so there is a reaction You do the balanced equations.
- Q: But I don't know much about them! Currently I have a three blade aluminum prop on a 22 ft SeaRay (inboard/outboard, Bravo One mercruiser)Are there significant performance benefits to changing to a stainless steel prop? How about different blade numbers? We use the boat for water skiing, tubing, etc, as well as driving to and from our cottage; it is already such a pig on gas, I'm not worried about using a little more.
- I'm a big fan of parchment paper for cakes and cookiesFoil can be too reflective, as can some new pans.
- Q: In tearing down the drywall because it had gotten soaked due to a water pipe leak behind the drywall, I found that a sheet of paper/aluminum foil was installed behind the drywallI'm assuming that this sheet was originally installed as some kind of a barrier to the outside concrete block wall that it coversNow that I have to replace the wet drywall, I tried to find out where to purchase this sheeting to no availHome Depot or Loews do not carry itIs there anything else I can use, instead?

- Q: My earrings get build up really easy and make my ears smell weird-How do I stop thisYes-I shower twice a day and use soap too-for those jokesters.
- You don't say how much is up there already or what kind of insulation You currently have Call a local company and talk to Them My insulation was professionally blown in and it didn't take long and the costs were reasonableI live in Northern Ontario in Canada and have never been cold in 65 years. It pays for itself in lower heating costs.
- Q: I am trying to make a soccer ball cakeI have a cake pan that is 1/2 a soccer ball (actual size and all)The problem is, I can't get the cake to bake evenlyThe first time I tried it it took almost 3 hours to bakeWhen I it was finished, I let it cool and started to slice the layers and noticed that the inside of the cake was extremely moist (wet)Too moist actuallyNot to mention the outer portion of the cake finished before the inside didSo it got more hard/done then I would likeI was told to bake it at a lower temperature so that's what I didI baked it between 300-325 degreesI am frustrated needless to say lolThat being said, does anyone have an tips/tricks on how to bake a cake in such a deep pan? As a reminder, the cake pan I have is literally an actual sized soccer ball cut in half.
- I would say to lower the temperature even more, because if you don't the outside will burnYou can put a ring of aluminum foil around the outside edges of the cake and perhaps that will help to keep it from drying out, works with a pecan pie crustIf you bought the pan from Wilton, try calling or e-mailing them for tipsAnd if that doesn't work, it could be the thermostat on your oven needs to be replaced.
- Q: is this true of all vaccines? What about the other nasty ingredients like formaldehyde? Would it be better to get combo vacs as opposed to one at a time because there would be less aluminum and formaldehyde exposure?Anyone with knowledge on this, I appreciate your answers.
- I quite doubt it however the vast majority of vaccines now incorporate no mercuryI asked my surgeon at my daughter's final appointmentYou on no account understand although-sounds such as you will come across some lab someplace in the international that could advise very almost something.
- Q: Which fork is better for my bike i ride aggresivley on the street i am wondering which would be better between a carbon fork or aluminum fork
- It's as much - if not more - about the design and fabrication than it is about the material. A good fork out of any sensible material will outperform a poor fork out of any sensible material. For aggressive riding, many people prefer steel forks, as good steel forks tend to be most tolerant to abuse. Carbon fiber forks often have low weight as a selling point, which tends to make them less robust. By the time you've added enough material to create a survive-anything carbon fork, it'll weigh close to what an aluminium fork would do, which will hurt its sales. For the same amount of money, I'd probably go with an Al fork over a CF fork. Since Al in material and production is cheaper than CF, I'd hope that it would free up some extra cash for quality in design and manufacture. If I wanted the same level of quality I'd expect to pay maybe 25% more for a CF fork than an Al fork. Or more, it's been a while since I checked prices.
- Q: it would save me quite a lot of labor if I could just buy a greenhouse kit, but I seriously question if twin wall polycarbonate in an aluminum frame would be adequate if i would like to grow plants year roundI had planned on triple wall and a treated wood frame that I build myselfopinions? tx!
