- Q: The ink on the sheets has been there for 5 years and they have been sitting in a very hot garage so I'm sure that is the reason why it doesn't come off. I have tried nail polish remover, WD-40, bleach, soap and water, rubbing alcohol, body spray, vinegar, hair spray, and even liquid sandpaper and only the nail polish remover affected it but only very little, it just made the ink a bit more transparent but it didn't remove it completely. Is there anyway to remove the ink completely

You can always go back and cut the plastic stencil from the poster. If you're dead set on the plastic, but can only find 8.5x11, just use clear scotch tape to match the edges. Just make sure the cut outs don't sever the whole seam. Poster board will tear, so let paint dry before you lay them down, and lift them off the painting surface before they dry

- I believe you would have to do a cold-weld. Applying heat to vinyl or plastic is dangerous because of the fumes/fire. For a box, think about plexiglass. Plexiglass is very durable but scratches easily. The thickness of the plexiglass is; 1/8, 3/16 and 1/4 inches. The 1/4 thk. requires a fine-tooth blade to cut. The other 2 can be cut with a box-knife by passing the blade over about 6 times and then using a support edge can be snapped off. You can assemble using corner angles and small self-threading screws but pre-drill first.
