RQ®-Ⅱ Polyvinyl alcohol Fiber
RQ®-Ⅱfibers are very thin fibers primarily made of Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) with
non-circular section shape by wet spinning for fiber reinforced high-performance concrete and
mortar. The fibers have excellent dispersion in the cement-based materials with a good bonding
property between fiber and matrix because of the special hydrophilic surface treatment. RQ®-Ⅱ
fibers can reduce and inhibit the plastic shrinkage and drying shrinkage of cement-based materials.
It can also improve the crack-resistance, impermeability, impact and fire resistance of
cement-based materials significantly.
* The main technical performance and characteristics:
Excellent dispersion. The polyvinyl alcohol fiber has excellent dispersion in concrete/mortar.
Unique shaped cross section. The bonding property between PVA fiber and the cement matrix material is excellent because of its non-circular cross section.
Excellent ageing resistance and adaptability. Thermal oxygen aging resistance and resistance
to UV aging capacity are significantly increased by special anti-aging treatment. Chemical property is extremely stable and good compatibility with other concrete admixtures.
Excellent Impact and wear resistance. RQ®-ⅡPolyvinyl alcohol fibers can absorb the shock energy in concrete/mortar, effectively reduce the stress concentration, thereby enhance the
cement-based composites impact resistance.
Improve freeze-thaw resistance and fire-resistant. RQ®-Ⅱ Polyvinyl alcohol fibers can relieve the hydrostatic pressure and osmotic pressure during the freeze thaw cycle, increase energy
consumption in the process of concrete freeze thaw damage and effectively inhibit the cracking of
concrete. The channel for the water vapor’s escaping can be formed from the fibers’ melting at high
temperatures or absorption by matrix.
Thereby, the fiber can enhance the fire resistance of concrete in the fire and prevent the burst.
Usage and notes
Dosage: Common dosage of 0.65~1.95kg/m3 (corresponding to the volume dosage of 0.05-0.15%).
Length choice: 12-18mm fiber for concrete and 3-12mm for mortar.
Mixing: Mixing time should be extended to ensure good fiber dispersion.
Curing: The fiber reinforced concrete (or mortar) and common concrete (or mortar) with the same construction and curing process.
Design advice: Do not use the polyvinyl alcohol to replace structural strengthening materials. Do not reduce the size of main structure.
Storage: Should be sealed in a dry, cool place, shelf life of 2 years.
Packaging
Standard small package with 0.6kg/bag, 1.0kg/bag, the packaging materials are plastic film bags or water-soluble paper bags, large packages are plastic bags or cartons with net weight 10kg or 15kg.
Provide other specification package according to user requirements. Handling and transportation is very convenient.
After-sale Service
To ensure the engineering units quality and improve the level of civil construction technology, the company will provide free technical advice and technical services with more than provide concrete mix suggestions and related on-site technical guidance.
