Q:what is the function of salts in DNA extraction?
The role of the salt is to neutralize the charge of the DNA's sugar phosphate backbone. This makes the DNA less hydrophilic (less soluble in water). Ethanol has a lower dielectric constant than water so it's used to promote ionic bonds between the Na+ (from the salt) and the PO3- (from the DNA backbone) causing the DNA to precipitate, to extract DNA finally..
Q:Children eat what to add the body of inorganic salts
Such as fruits, vegetables, beans or soy products, kelp, eggs and so on. Eat hot and humid food: watermelon, bitter gourd, peach, ebony, strawberry, tomatoes, cucumber, mung bean and so on.
Q:Can you please help me with this question and give me a website reference.
Many of these materials enter the water through natural channels---minerals, salts and the like come from exposure to rocks, dirt and other inorganic materials.
Q:What are the nutritional requirements for bacterial growth?
For water: the nutrients required for bacteria must be dissolved in water, nutrient absorption and metabolism are required to carry out water.
Q:Are there any differences between minerals and inorganic salts?
There are differences, some minerals exist in organic matter, and some minerals are inorganic salts. Inorganic salts are inorganic.
Q:Please help i need the answer for a classwork assignment due today. I've looked everywhere online but i cant find the answer.
the web page (below) discusses: Basal Salt Mixtures The use of balanced salt solution (BSS) in cell and tissue culture is generally attributed to early workers in the field. In 1885, Sydney Ringer developed a solution of inorganic salts designed to maintain contractility of mammalian heart tissue. A less specific salt solution was designed by Tyrode for use in work with primary mammalian cells. Tyrode's salt solution became the accepted fluid for diluting protein components of media of natural origin. Since that time, many other balanced salt solutions have been developed for use in cell and tissue culture. The current role of balanced salt solution in cell culture is multi-faceted and can be divided into four principle functions. see web page for extensive discussion on the good things about it
Q:therefore indigestible..that I should look for organic plant based trace mineral compounds..anyone care to comment?
All trace minerals are "inorganic". That's what a mineral is. What the article means is that they are inorganic in the sense that the supplements just have mineral compouds, rather than being derived from a food source. That doesn't make them indigestible, but it can mean they aren't as readily absorbed. Vitamins and minerals are ALWAYS absorbed better when derived from food sources, such as eating a balanced diet, then they are by popping a supplement with a mineral compound in it. But if you need supplements, I don't know if there's such a striking difference between regular mineral supplements or "plant-based" whole food supplements. I don't doubt that whole food plant supplements are probably better, but I don't know that they're better to the degree that it makes the regular supplements "terrible". The best source is STILL diet.
Q:Nutritional characteristics of carbohydrates and inorganic salts in vegetables
Carbohydrates include sugars, starches, cellulose and pectin substances. Its species and quantity, because of the types of food and varieties are very different.
Q:Chemical formula The longest inorganic salt
Basic copper carbonate Cu2 (OH) 2CO3
Q:anybody here knows the difference of organic iron salt (ex. F.gluconate) vs inorganic (ex. F.sulfate)?
It it's organic, then the anion (the negative ion) is the conjugate base of an organic acid. If it's inorganic, then the original acid was inorganic (like H2SO4 making sulphates).
