Q: I keep my hamster in a Rotastak cage, which is connected with plastic tubes. The thing about this is my hamster likes to use them as a toilet, making me have to clean her cage more often and it's just disgusting! How can I stop her doing this??
My science teacher taught this to me. She uses a little container (a flat dish of some sort); I used one of those hummus containers. Fill it with kitty litter (any kind), and she will go there to pee all the time. Don't know how, but it worked with my hamster. Try it! Those hamster litter and potty things never work from the store.
Q: the tank is four sided and some what triangular and the top is attached to tank
Well, you could get some PVC tubing and cut it to size, but that would probably cost as much as just getting a new filter. You could get a new UG filter (undergravel) but frankly, UG filters are not very effective. In theory, they suck all the gunk, poop, uneaten food into the gravel where it can biodegrade. It's a good idea, but in reality, the gunk just rots. It's like if you threw food, and pooped in your backyard. If you only did that a teeny bit, it might biodegrade, but if you did that alot, it would just pile up and rot. That's basically what happens. In a 5 gallon tank, waste adds up very quickly, even with just one fish. I suggest you get a hang off the back (waterfall) filter. They are much more effective. You'll still need replace 20% of the water every week, but it'll keep your tank crystal clear.
Q: Do plastic tubes have any limitations in terms of flexibility or rigidity?
Yes, plastic tubes have limitations in terms of both flexibility and rigidity. While they are generally more flexible than metal tubes, they can still have a limited range of flexibility depending on the type and thickness of the plastic used. Plastic tubes can also be rigid to some extent, but they are not as rigid as metal tubes. Therefore, their degree of flexibility or rigidity may vary depending on the specific application and the requirements of the task at hand.
Q: What are the toxic hazards in plastic pipe production plants? What are the specific hazards?
In such a working environment, we should pay attention to self-protection, such as the need to insist on wearing masks, regular medical examination and so on. When the temperature reaches 65 degrees centigrade, the toxic substances will precipitate and seep into the food, which can cause serious harm to the vital parts of the liver, the viscera, the kidneys, the reproductive system and the central nervous system.
Q: What are the common sizes of plastic tubes used for cables?
The common sizes of plastic tubes used for cables vary depending on the specific application and industry. However, some commonly used sizes include 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch, 1/2 inch, and 3/4 inch diameters.
Q: What are the plastic pipes that can be welded?
General PP, PE pipe can be used hot melt welding, using PVC glue adhesive.
Q: I've heard about crop feeding but the website im learning it from suggest that i don't crop feed if i'm not experienced, instead i should just mix the formula, and put it directly into the pigeons mouth. But how do i do this? i know that sounds stupid, but this baby is 2 weeks old and i want to make sure that i do this correctly.thanks
What I do is use a Dixie cup and punch a hole into it so birds beak will fit in it and place beak in hole and let them eat up the food. Pigeons put their beaks in mothers mouth and throat to eat so this is more natural for them and less chance of aspiration. Or you can try the syringe and place it down into the throat over to the side. Can you contact a wildlife rehabber to take these babies? Call the DEC or local vet who will be able to refer you. It is free. good luck.
Q: How are plastic tubes sealed for long-term storage?
Plastic tubes are typically sealed for long-term storage using various methods such as heat sealing, ultrasonic sealing, or crimping. These techniques ensure a secure and airtight seal, preventing any leakage or contamination during storage and maintaining the integrity of the contents inside.
Q: My little brother just got 2 gerbils. One of them is fine going in the tubes and coming back down, but the other won't go up. He will climb down if you put him up there, but he won't climb up on his own. Their sleeping area is on the top floor, and there's another floor with his food and water on it. The water bottle will only fit in that spot, so there's no other way to move the bottle. Also, how do i get them to figure out how to use a water bottle?
the gerbil will most likely climb up the tubes when he is ready. don't worry about him nor being able to get to the food and water, if you put him up there once he will no it is up there, so, when he gets hungry he'll find his way up there, its their instinct. and they probably already know how to use the Water bottle, it is the easy est way to get them to drink, and so the place you got them from probably used them too. don't worry, your pets will be fine, its normal for pats to be timid when they first get into a new home, but they will get used to it. p.s. i speak from experience, so i know what im talking about, im not one of those guys who gets all their info. off the internet.
Q: Are plastic tubes BPA-free?
Yes, plastic tubes can be BPA-free. BPA (bisphenol A) is a chemical commonly found in certain types of plastic that can leach into food or beverages. However, many manufacturers now produce plastic tubes using BPA-free materials, ensuring they are safe for use. It is always recommended to check the packaging or inquire with the manufacturer to confirm if a specific plastic tube is BPA-free.
