- Q: I want to project a company's logo with a gobo onto a glass building. Projection distance is about 150'-200'. Projectors are also an option for me as we have those and access to large ones as well.
- How clean is the glass in the building? And what color? You may not be able to produce anything that can be reliably seen in that clean glass will reflect the light up and away and not back to viewers at ground level and many buildings have gray or black glass that is intended to block heat from getting inside and will absorb the light from the spot light. The obvious direct answer is that you buy/rent a large theatrical ellipsoidal spot and mount it in a protective hut and mount the gobo on the nose - but you probably knew that if you knew the term gobo.
- Q: Who knows the manufacturer of architectural glass film ah
- I have heard that someone has to do, but as far as I know is to buy abroad has been completely out of the equipment to produce, and the original equipment is the production of the lowest file of the kind of equipment in the country can only find agents. Proud of the shield of the membrane should be good
- Q: I want to build a greenhouse and I have a very large stack of unframed panes - they need to be framed, very simply, in wood, so that they can be made into a "wall," but I can't find any instructions on how to accomplish this. Seems to me, the easiest way would be to build the wall to fit the panes, but do I need to make a slot in the boards to slide the glass into? Or should I fashion the frames some other way and then worry about fitting them into the wall, itself? Thanks for your help!
- The exact method I'd use to fabricate a wall to accept the glass panes would depend on the size of the panes. But in general, you have two basic choices on how you might cut the wood and mount the panes. One way would be to cut a groove in the center of the wood that would allow the panes to be slotted into the wood and the framework nailed together as the frames are made. You could do this and not use any putty or sealant, but the fit-up will be trickier then the next method I will suggest. What I think would be a better way is to cut a rabbit in the edges of your wood and build the wall. The rabbit should be 1/2" into the wood and at least as deep as the glass pane plus 1/8" if you want the panes to be flush with the outside edge of the wood. Your framed openings should be the same size as the glass plus 1/2" measured from the edge of the rabbit, both top to bottom and side to side. This should give you 1/4" landing of the glass to the wood with 1/4" play for any expansion/contraction. The glass can be set in putty or on a bead of sealant. Hope this helps
- Q: effects of rain, heat, pressure, snow
- That largely depends upon what type of building materials you are using. For example, steel could rust in the snow given a long enough time. All building material will shrink and expand with temperature. Wood also shrinks and expands with the amount of moisture it has absorbed from its environment. If you are using wood composites (OSB, plywood, gluelam beams), the glue that holds the particles together can have problems when wet. That is why there is exterior grade and interior grade wood products. As far as glass, I believe that heat will increase the liquid-like properties of glass. Pressure will likely do the same. Cold will make it more brittle, but as a whole, I'd guess that glass is more stable than most other forms of building materials.
- Q: Do you know about the glass substrate production process?
- Is the original film production process? The production process is simple.
- Q: So it will look like the ferris bueller ferrari. If so how can that be done.
- Anything is possible when your talking about fiberglass and making kit car bodies. You have to have wood working tools - and auto tools - Among other things you will have to know the fiberglass methods And how to mix it right - dealing with 1 gallon + at a time. Lastly you better be good with a tape measure and know angles and such.
- Q: Why do you need 3C certification for tempered glass?
- Automobile safety glass and railway vehicles with safety glass certification mark printing method can be used printing method, screen printing, etching or sandblasting and other methods, signs should be clear. Safety-related building glass can be used for temporary signs, or it can be permanent, temporary signs can be removed after installation of the glass. For some buildings on the glass body should not use the permanent signs or temporary signs, should be approved by the National CCC Certification Center issued by the management center in its minimum packaging and accompanying documents (such as certificate) used.
- Q: If someone fired an RPG through a window, would it explode on contact with the glass or after?
- To be honest, I'm not familiar with how the fuze for thermobaric round or how they would vary from the rpg-7 standard ap round. I do know that the rpg-29 is a larger bore than the rpg-7 and there have been cases in Iraq where an rpg-7 round has completely passed through the windows of an up-armored humvee without detonating. My guess it would depend of the range it was fired from and what it hit inside the vehicle.
- Q: can i build a tank 2000x500x400mm with braces with 5mm thick glass?
- theoretically okorder /... visit these sites where you can find the safety factor with 5 mm but really 5mm is a nothing thickness as your width is 20 inch which is too much pressure on side glass
- Q: Does anyone know of an automobile from the 1930's that had 2 large built in glass flower vases in the backseat on either side?
- those types of cars in that year would be custom built/the chassis and cab from maybe cadillac and the body from custom builder/thomas edisons daughter had one and it is really beautiful/the "trunk" is a real trunk attached to a rear bumper/so no production car is available
