Q: i tried to make a purchase on OKorder through pay pal. i don't have any credit cards so i use my visa bank card for all transactions. the seller was in canada.my bank put some block recently on international purchases even on pay pal. i called today and asked about it. the lady was very rude and told me it is for my protection and i had no choice in the matter. she didn't have all day to argue with me and if i didn't like it i could close the account. then hung up on me. i offered to sign a statement agreeing not to hold the bank liable for any fraud or Identity theft on my account. i feel like it is discrimination against international trade. it is unethical. i called other local banks and most don't have any policy like this at all and the few that did said that because pay pal insurances transactions through them if it is through pay pal it shouldn't matter where the seller is.: Return power to the consumer and change your bank - times have changed and banks no longer have the power to treat us like dirt. And diss your current bank on the internet for good measure (oh, you already have!)

Q: i have a battery bank cupboard and i wanted to put the inverter in there but the batterys give off gases and the inverter is electrics is it safe to pu them in there: Even if the batteries are sealed lead-acid, it will have to be forced-air ventilated or your inverter will cook to death.

Q: Hand carry power bank/ USB cables as well are allowed to bring on the hand carry luggage ?: Lithium batteries are not allowed in checked baggage. They have to be carried on. I don't know if that is relevant.

From everything that happened with the financial meltdown there is no doubt stronger regulation is needed. A lot of finance companies that were making the bad subprime loans, didn't fall under federal regulations. Then many of the state regulators never regulated these companies. Possibly a new federal agency over all banking. Some may feel that doing so would give the government to much power. We need to quit living in the red scare days.

Q: I have a 24V 165W BP Solar Panel. I plan on using eight 12V 35 amp hour sealed golf cart batteries in parallel for my battery bank. I plan on purchasing a charge controller and an inverter for my system, but I am not sure which charge controller and inverter to purchase. Will any 12V charge controller work? Do charge controllers take higher voltages, 24V in this case, and step it down for the battery bank? My primary concern is whether 24V is too much voltage to go into a 12V battery bank. If you guys have any suggestions for affordable efficient charge controllers and inverters, please let me know.This system will be used to power a computer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.: Yes you can but you need to regulate the voltage you can't just straight hook up 24v solar panels to 12v battery banks. You need some way to monitor the battery banks charge so you do not overcharge or charge it up to fast. Most 12v batteries charge via a 14-16v source. upping it to a 24v source would be ok but you should definitely limit the time it is exposed to 24v. The difference in voltage causes the electron flow to the battery to charge it. Increasing the voltage would decrease the charge time but also would generate a lot more heat and amps as well as possible battery damage. You need a battery control station that will take the incoming solar voltage and send it to the battery controller to maintain battery charge. A very pricey add on to your solar panel.
