- Q: hi all i have a ford fiesta mk3 xr2i i currently bought some extended wheel studs but they are not big enough for what i need the bolts will not nip up to my studs to toghten my wheels and also even i have spacers on and the alloys are scraping against my suspension.. which has caused to destroy all 4 front and back of my suspension does anyone know were i can pick up like 80mm long wheel studs i currently have 67mm stud length and its 13.1 spline fitting if anyone could maybe put me onto a shop or even a link would be great ive searched everywere but just cant seem to find any longer ones regards jamie :)
- Well no it's not fair to say it. Have you ever questioned the strength of a man of small stature? Do you fret that rescue services might send a 350 lb fella who can't climb a ladder to save you? It might only be at the ends of the bell curve, but there are a proportion of women who are stronger than some men or more physically fit or agile or something. They are therefore more capable of doing the job and shouldn't be excluded from competing for the job because of their sex. You see; the point is that individuals should have the opportunity to compete for the job - it should then be given on merit. If the strength of a fire fighter is a requirement then that's fine as long as both men and women have to meet the requirement. As to people saying that women are more empathic and blah blah - same thing applies. If it is a requirement of the position than both men and women should have the opportunity to demonstrate it or have it considered (as from a reference or record of care); neither should be excluded just because of their sex. Edit: No, I don't think I misunderstood you. Haven't you ever worried that the rescue service might hire a man of small stature who can't carry you either? The point is - many people would exclude a woman before finding out whether she could do the job or not. At the same time; they would approve men automatically on the (unfounded) assumption that every man is physically capable. The vast majority of men may be physically strong enough; and the vast majority of women might not be - but as I said about the bell curve, there are some men who are not capable and there are some women who are. Why should they be excluded; or men included - because of their genitalia rather than because they can or can not do the job.
