- OK. Let's go from the far left one. 1, You should wash it in water at 30C degree or below, and low power when you use a washing machine. But it does not mean that you can't hand wash it. You can. 2, You can't use chlorine bleaching agent. 3, You should use less than 120C degree when you iron the cloth. 4, You CAN dry clean it (it does not mean you must). Dry cleaning is washing by organic solvent. We do not do it at home. You should take the cloth to commercial cleaning service. You know it? 5, You should put it flatly when you dry it (no hanging).

- It means that it is 1) Delicate: you should either wash it by hand or use your own common sense to decide if you think the washing machine will rip it or not 2) Cotton: it will shrink if you put it in the dryer, so hang it up instead unless you don't mind it shrinking and possibly warping 3) Cold Water: the color will probably leak off it and onto your other clothes, and it might fade. When I buy delicate items like that I just wash them the normal (anal) way I wash all my other clothes, but they FIRST time you wash it ONLY with black (or similar colored to itself) items, and I would still dry it anyways (if you dry it and it warps, just iron it back into place, cotton shrinks but it can handle the heat of an iron), cuz I'm a rebel and my clothes don't tell me what to do. If it has strings hanging off it that may tangle in the wash, then tie them in a nice tight bow first. If it is a small garment, just put it in a garment bag and don't worry about it being delicate.

In the basement there is a wash basin and near the knobs to turn on and off the water there is thin plastic tube coming from the water pipe and when we use the wash basin some water also comes into the wash basin through that tube. What is the purpose of this plastic tube? thanks
- If I am understanding you correctly - The tube is used for hooking up the washing machine to drain it on the spin and drain cycles. Hope this has been a help.
- Q: I just moved into a new apartment that has a washer and dryer. However, it seems as if the hot/cold water hoses were connected backwards. All of the rinse cycles are pumping out pure hot water. Unfortunately, I realized what was wrong a little too late and my favorite hoodie now has awkwardly short sleeves! So my question is, can I manually fill the washing basin with cold water when the rinse cycle starts? I'd like to still be able to do laundry while I wait for my maintenance request to go through.
- You could - you would have to catch it right at the beginning of the rinse cycle - and also understand that water is injected during the spin cycle as well. Better to wait.
