Carbonfiber composite core conductors(hereafter called CFCC for short) consists of composite core and annealedaluminum formed wires  outer layer. CFCChas the higher strength and higher level of safety. The tensile strength of theACSR is 1240MPa, and high strength steel conductors is 1410MPa; however CFCCcan be up to 2400MPa which increases the safety.

Itwill reduce the transmission line corridor, save land resources and lower thecomprehensive total cost of transmission line construction by using CFCC. CFCC’s linear expansion coefficient is small, and it reduces the lines sag, andwill not be affected by long-term creep of aluminum, also it avoids sag due tothe thermal expansion of the traditional ACSR. The height of the tower can bereduced, and the distance between towers can be increased due to its lightweight. More than 16% poles and towers will be reduced to save the transmissionspace height and areas.
