Let us model this part of the setup by a vector function r(t) where t denotes the length of the rope that touches the silo. The rest of the rope will then be tangent to the silos circle at that point. Let us first find an expression for this angle, a(t). a(t) = t/r where r denotes the radius of the silo, ie.
