Q: If the U.S. managed to hack into a Russian missile silo and managed to launch a nuclear warhead at Beijing, would that secure a nuclear exchange between both countries and strengthen American hegemony in the world?
Depends on how strong the US would be after two years at -25 F in the dark. You need to think things through better than that. China would be a glass bowl and so would large segments of the Russian Federation. And if the rest of us survived the first two weeks of radioactive fallout, then we would have the fun of scrapping with our neighbors for the last bits of food and fuel in the midst of nuclear winter.
Q: so we have this silo thingy. ya know, like a building that's an octagon. it has 2 floors. it's not too big.i want to create a place me and my friends can hang out. what kind of stuff should i put in there? what kind of things should i buy? should i have a theme? what should it be?i want it to be fun and entertaining. i don't want too many soft things {blankets, chairs with cushions, etc} because of bugs. how can i keep them out by the way?how can i light it since there's no electricity? what things should i put in there to keep us entertained? any GOOD help is appreciated! thanks!!
wat r u gonna make the building?the ligt thing is easy u just need lamps.....and to keep the bugs out use Lysol and fabreeze.... u should buy a couch,a cool table,a mini fridge, carpet, pool table maybe,a tv and thats it...the theme should be calm and relaxing with fun colors
Q: What would happen if you lit a match or lighter while sitting in a silo full of grain?
It would ignite the grain particles in the air and blast you to the moon!
Q: The silo shown in the skecth is an air- and water-tight tower. It consists of a lower cylinder surmounted by a frustum of a cone whose lower base is the upper base of the cylinder. The Frustum in turn is surmounted by a cupola consisting a smaller cylinder whose lower base is the upper base of the frustum. This smaller cylinder is topped by a conical roof. The inside radii of the smaller and larger cylinders are 6ft. and 12ft., respectively. The altitudes of the frustum and larger cylinder are 6ft. and 21ft., respectively. If ensilage can be stored up to the cupola, find the storage capacity of the silo.
There's no diagram provided, but it seems the storage capacity of the silo is equal to the volume of the lower cylinder, plus the volume of the frustum. (Since the upper cylinder is part of the cupola, we won't count it as part of the silo's storage capacity.) Let C = the volume of the lower cylinder, and Let F = the volume of the frustum. Now, C = πr^2 h We're given that r = 12, and h = 21. So, C = π(12^2)(21) = 3,024π ft^3 The frustum is like a cone with its top part sliced off. The base-radius of the cone is 12 ft. The top part, sliced off, is a similar, smaller cone with base-radius 6 ft. If we let y = the height of the sliced-off cone, and consider the triangular cross-section of both cones, then, by similar triangles, (y + 6) / 12 = y / 6 => 2y = y + 6 => y = 6 So, the height of the larger cone is 6 + y = 12, and the height of the sliced-off cone is y = 6. (Recall again we're given that the base-radius of the larger cone is 12, and the base radius of the sliced-off cone is 6.) Then, the volume of the frustum is the volume of the larger cone, minus the volume of the sliced-off cone: F = (1/3)π(12^2)(12) - (1/3)π(6^2)(6) = 504π ft^3 Our total volume V is: V = C + F = 3,024π + 504π = 3,528π ft^3
Q: A cow is tied to a silo with diameter 30-ft. The rope's length is 100-ft. Find the area the cow can graze on.This one's a tricky one! I've been trying to solve this question for a long time, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.-John
(edited version) Now clearly the cow can graze on half a disc with a radius of 100-ft. The question must be to determine the area where the silo bends the rope. Let us model this part of the setup by a vector function r(t) where t denotes the length of the rope that touches the silo. The rest of the rope will then be tangent to the silos circle at that point. Let us first find an expression for this angle, a(t). a(t) = t/r where r denotes the radius of the silo, ie.
Q: an image, object
the red cross. the image is recognized globally and of course every state in the US has branches of it.
Q: HOW DO VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS IN OUR COMPANY WORK WITH EACH OTHER?SILOS. THEY DON’T WORK TOGETHER. PERIOD
It means the discussion is over, there is no question about it. Like you may not go to the movies on a school night, period.
Q: Are Nuclear Weapons bad or good (opinion question)?
I believe nuclear weapons are a deterrent to a major world war, although they do not discourage countries from conventional warfare. Actual use of nuclear weapons would be suicidal, a no win situation, though If I recall reading correctly, China, with its' vast population expects to survive victoriously. China is the real threat to the world. Beware the sleeping dragon! Please support world war 3, and buy made in China.
Q: Why are silos painted with checkers at the top?
Because of low flying aircraft, crop dusters, etc. Also birds.
Q: please list few things would do on a farm to clean it.
probably cleaning and mucking out stalls horse poop and other animal poop. Unless they are talking house keepeing
