I saw something about people who have problems with electrical equipment. Also lights flicker or go on and off or dim. The devices either will not work or act strangely for no apparent reason. There is nothing wrong with the equipment because it will work fine for any other person. There is a metaphysical term for people like this. They also tend ot hear static or voices when tv/radio or computers or off. It has to do with some kind of extra sensory. I am not completely sure though. Does anyone know anything about this? What does it mean?

It's usually a temporary state of an affair which will pass eventually.

All of my US electrical equipment has had it's wattage determined to provide the proper transformer to use. Transformers were bought to support between a third and half of the load that would be demanded. I am not using multiple devices which would cause overload. My TV (395W) only clicks once (like the sound of a relay) when plugged into the 3000W 220-120 step down transformer and never turns on. The transformers are tripping the breaker of the apartment now. I was assured there would be no problems taking my US equipment to Amsterdam and using transformers. Some light on this subject would be appreciated. I can't imagine everyone has this trouble, or there wouldn't be companies in the US in this business.

If you get your US tv working, remember that the US tv is NTSC format. I think Amsterdam will be using PAL format.

I can say from personal experience that the above answers are wrong in places, 2 different airlines had no problem with wireless gaming between Nintendo DS, we made sure we checked first. Plane didn't fall out the sky either.

I sprayed electrical cleaning fluid, which evaporates really fast, into my ipod touch's headphone jack, seeing as it was giving me problems having to adjust the tips of the audio equipment I hooked it up too, I should have used a q tip, and I sprayed it into the connector port as well. and my screen, well. Its kind of, weird, and I am kinda angry about it but then agian, its really cool lol Its like, making these 3d bubbles of darkness on the screen, it doesent go completely out, but it gets darker in some areas, and its really bright in the other If I have a pure white backround showing on my ipod, it looks like I am looking at a cloud. a horribly, vivid, cloud, for a screen Any suggestions or reasons why this might have happened? it looks like fluid got on something and somehow never dried, and is like, being displayed on the screen underneath it, but I Know I did not spray that much . I screwed up dident I Technically its still good to me though.

Hello All, I have an electrical equipment (face steamer) which was purchased in India (220 - 240V) and wanted to check, if I could connect this to an electrical outlet in US (producing 110V). Would this cause any damage to the equipment or the outlet ?

Yes, if the power it needs does not exceed what a 120V 15 or 20A circuit can provide, and you can get a transformer with adequate capacity to power the applaince.

I have heard that an electrical ark can kill you so I would like to know what circumstances creares this condition.
