- Joists are not wall studs. They bear weight and load differently. Drill a 1/2 to 3/4 inch hole through the joist at least 2inches up from the bottom, or dry wall side. Any lower and you can serious damage and weaken the joist in your ceiling. Good Luck

- You need multiple tables. Using int() auto_increment primary keys for linking each section of data you want something like : stock_codes ( id int(6) primary key auto_increment, stock_code varchar(45) unique key, stock_description varchar(45), stock_qty int(6), suppler_id int(6) ) stock_movement ( id int(6) primary key auto_increment, in_date date, out_date date, moved_qty int(6), stock_id int(6), ) It helps to have tables of suppliers details, client details, sales person details, department details etc. If items have possible alternative suppliers you dump the supplier_id from the stock codes and use a link table for the stock id and supplier id to identify each inward transaction. Add tables for any additional information using links from the other tables to co-ordinate the data.

They are used in motors, loudspeakers, relays, televisions etc. artificial permanent magnets can also be found in electric motors, loudspeakers, reed switches etc. As far as i can think natural magnets don't have many applications. but they could be used to make loudspeakers, motors and to operate reed switches for sure. So in short, they all have several applications in electrical equipment. Sorry not to be of more help.

- We do not ground all electrical equipment. Much of it is double insulated. Grounding simply connects the chassis to Earth, so that if there is an electrical fault that makes the chassis live this is short to Earth and a person, who we might expect to be standing on Earth and not hovering, will hence be at the same potential as the chassis. The actual circuit is not grounded - its return path conencts to neutral. Precisely the same principle can be used in space, but in light of the fact that people in space may actually be floating, double insulation is safer.

- Probably the best tools are a good quality digital multi meter, high voltage Pliers . oscilloscope is pretty expensive and is mostly usefull for Electronics not Electrical. Electronic is the voltages between 0-90 V and everything that you work more than 90V is Electrical and in that rate you must use saftey tools, which have been made for this purpose. If you are an electronics engineer who want to desige and make PCBs you need some softwares like Protel on your PC. if you like to work with Microcontrollers, you need some compiler and programmer specially made to program your microprocessors. A good clean workbench will help you to work properly, so it is better to buy some plastic shelves to put your components in . Don't forget to buy at least two breadboard, they will help you to test your projects before making PCBs, but be aware that Breadboard is not a good thing for high frequency projects. have a good one
