We are are not told to evacuate so if we stay in the house what do we do if like the wind blows the windows out, the roof off or a tree falls onto the house? - I live in northern NJ but have had prior experience with hurricanes. If the window hasn't been boarded, taped, or safely secured prior to the weather event, and it blows out due to debris or wind speed, there's not a lot anyone can do about it. It would be more dangerous to re-secure the window or place furniture in the way as the furniture can be knocked over and you could injure yourself on wet glass-covered floor. If debris has broken your window, there's a high possibility that debris can strike you if you venture outside. Stay indoors. If possible, cover air ducts and close all doors to the room that has been compromised. Seek shelter in an area free from windows, keep a radio with you if a computer or TV are not readily available and be attentive to official instructions. In all likelihood you will be fine. Stay calm and take it one step at a time.

- Skylights are indeed considered window units, because they provide the same function as windows set in the wall, namely providing illumination to the interior of your condo. That being said, I agree with Oil field's statement. If your skylights are are in good condition, a good contractor can work around them, just as the contractor indicated to your husband. Unless there is some ironclad provision within your bylaws that mandate that the management co has the final say so on whether or not the skylights get replaced, keep at the co. and the board of directors and maybe try to get in touch with your local housing authority for possibly their ruling on this matter. ( If they have the authority to do so. They do in most localities that I know of) Be sure to make copies of any and all correspondence that you have regarding this matter. Best of luck to you!

- without knowing the style or shade of red it is difficult to picture but since the roof and trim have a lot of color I would go with something neutral like a cream or a tan, you can add pops of color with flowering shrubs in shades of red to keep the interest.

- You'll have to install a drip pan under it with a drain line running off to the side. All air conditioning units, window or central, extract moisture from inside the house and drain it to the outside. Some of this moisture is purposely picked up by window unit fans and is sprayed on the coils to aid cooling of the refrigerant. Therefore your drip pan will have to be somewhat larger than the unit, i.e. extend out the back a few inches.
- Q:a section about 6 inches wide. Is this rust starting underneath? It's a 2004 Toyota Corolla. I think it may need to be stripped down to the bare metal. Has anyone had this? It's the original factory (black) paint.
- you are correct, its rust starting underneath, and it would need sanded down to bare metal where the rust is, then primed in that area, if its the roof then the whole roof needs repainted. theres no way to only paint a small area and make it look good. its a cheap fix, probably 250-400 bucks. which when it comes to body work, is cheap
