Q:Has anyone been successful in building the 98 - 02 Accord V^ transmissions. I can easily rebuild the 4 cyl‘s but am skeptical about the v6 trannys.
honda actually has a reman program for those transmissions because they extended the warranty on them to 7 years and 9 months or 109,000 miles whichever comes first in the U.S. The reman transmissions can be purchased from Honda if necessary on an exchange basis. I don't know of anyone who has been successful in rebuilding them. In fact, the early factory reman transmissions still had problems so even Honda couldn't get the rebuild right the first time around. Now they have it down to a science but, like any science if you haven't got the benefit of their experience you'll just be experimenting . I'd really recommend going with the factory rebuild if you can as there is a reason (actually 3 separate reasons) why the warranty on those transmissions was extended. hope that helps
Q:Describe the general type of image obtained with the transmission and scanning electron microscope? thanks.review for exam
transmission electron microscopes (TEM) transmit light through a thin material thats being viewed. scanning electron microscopes (SEM) just scan the top of the material thats being viewed, so u just get the top and not the whole thing. TEMs are used to see the inside of thin pieces of the material being viewed and SEMs are used to just get a closer look at the surface and are used for bigger, not flat shapes GL!
Q:I have a 2002 Monte Carlo. How do I go about changing the transmission fluid? Should I do it or have a professional?
First off, is it a manual or an automatic transmission? a manual transmission is a simple drain and fill for most applications, but an automatic to get a good flush needs to be done by a professional. I would suggest a trusted mechanics shop. Most automatics have a changeable internal filter that may or may not be changed with the transmission fluid. Check your owners manual or contact your local dealrship on the possibilities. So in answer to your question, you can probably change it yourself if it is a manual, but if it is automatic or needs an internal filter change, take it to an ASE certified professional. And be responsible with any fluids, have them recycled.
Q:I‘ve been told this pontiac has a sealed transmission
I have a Easton Synergy, RBK and just bought a new TPS I would rate the last two over the synergy.
Q:I have a 2002 Honda Accord 4 Speed Automatic and it is due for a transmission flush I have heard mixed reviews that Honda ATF could actually harm these already fragile transmissions. So my question is should I buy Honda ATF or Synthetic fluid. Thank You
I would advise against a transmission flush - Honda actually advises against it as well. As you said, the transmissions are fragile and a flush involves too much pressure. Typical Honda procedure would be to do three fluid drain and fills, with a good bit of driving in between each change. If the fluid comes out red and clean, without metal shavings, you don't need to do all three - be your own judge. I've recently done my ATF change on my 2007 Accord, making the switch to synthetic ATF fluid (Redline ATF to be exact, it's highly reviewed for Honda transmissions). My fluid looked pretty good at the first drain, so I only did it twice. Shifts definitely felt a lot smoother after. Overall, I think it's more personal preference for fluid - but there's no harm in using synthetic. I personally sway more towards synthetic.
Q:I have a ‘86 Trans Am Firebird and the Transmission is constantly leaking. It has been repaired four times by different shops but no one seems to get it right. Is there anything else I can check?
It's hard to fix transmissions once they go bad, the other shops probably just kept messing around with it. I'd suggest going to a junkyard, and getting a 700r4 transmission (if it's an automatic) or a t5(standard) from another 8 cylinder camaro OR firebird, they're directly compatible. Don't get a transmission from a v6 firebird or camaro, because it won't link up with the engine.
Q:I am confused on the CVT transmission that Mitsubishi has on its Lancers, is a CVT transmission basically a automatic transmission?
Nice try but that's a million year deal whereas global warming has happened in less than a hundred years.
Q:I have an automatic 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse. I recently started noticing it felt like it was jumping into gears when accelerating. I decided to get my transmission fluid changed, because it was black, in hopes that would fix it. It‘s been a couple weeks, but feels the exact same as before, the change didn‘t do anything. Do you think it‘s the transmission? Should I wait for it to completely break, or try to get it fixed before anymore damage happens?
TaylorMade R9 irons they are cavity backed clubs that have had a lot of RD involved.
Q:I have a 2000 chevy blazer 4x4, I want to change the transmission fluid. How do I drain the old transmission fluid?
This Site Might Help You. RE: how do you change the transmission fluid in a 2000 chevy blazer? I have a 2000 chevy blazer 4x4, I want to change the transmission fluid. How do I drain the old transmission fluid?
Q:i have a used honda van 2002 with 13k miles, few days ago i was driving and the car suddenly starts jerking and the front light turns yellow. i found out the transmission is broken and require 3k to fix it. i looked online and find out this problem occurred to many honda cars between 2002 and 2003. what can i do to get it fixed or i should just buy a new car?
As it is the van is worth very little with a bad transmission. My advice would be to purchase a used transmission and have an independent transmission shop install it. I am positive it will not cost $3,000.
