- Q:For the first time in nearly 2 years of being natural, I am getting my hair pressed today by at a natural hair salon!! I am excited!!! But how do you protect your pressed hair? Its starting to get warm/humid here (Baltimore, MD) and there is even a chance of rain this saturday. Also, I am going to a cabaret saturday night but I want to make my press lasts its longest! Any suggestions? Also, how do you keep pressed hair moisturized? I am a 4a/c
- I am not a hair care professional but I have been thinking about doing what you have done and had conducted some research. When I asked around I could not find any consistent answers. The fact that pressing hair removes moisture from our hair, the few ways I understood this dryness could be remedied were a combination of things as follow: 1) From the inside, do adopt a diet that allows your body to provide fatty acids to your hair roots and a balanced diet to keep you in great health. Drink a lot of water as this is necessary to regulate normal body functions anyway. 2) Daily use a small dab of natural oil over the hair such as Jojoba. 3) Wash the hair often- do not stretch a wash beyond 3 weeks. Use a silk protein shampoo paying attention to clean the scalp well and always have deep conditioning treatments paying attention to the ends using natural oil products like the Carol Daughter's line 4) Just like we did by resting our hair for a couple of years, from time to time it is recommended that we allow the hair to rest from the excessive heat of the hot comb and flat iron. I plan to find a wig close to my hair style to use in my rest period 5) When styling hair, try not to put excessive stress on the hair by pulling for eg. in a pony tail. Hope this helps. I plan to follow that regimen myself so let's hope it works for both of us.
- Q:I want to keep my uniforms looking new and not worn out from the washing machine...I was wondering if the permanent press cycle will help my clothes last longer...
- The permanent press cycle has a feature that gradually cools down the water which helps eliminate wrinkles. I do not wash my clothes in hot water so I don't use that cycle.I believe using hot water is what makes clothes become worn out looking so quickly .I do use the permanent press cycles on my dryer, which also gradually cools down. If I take the clothes out as soon as the dryer is done and hang them up they have no wrinkles and really look great.
- Q:Yesterday I got a travel mug from Starbucks that's a french press. Its my first time ever even seeing a french press so I'm a little confused I guess. I made a cup today and it turned out just OK, But I like cream and sugar in my coffee and I'm not sure the best way to make this yet. can anyone give me any tips...
- So far I use it like an actual press and not a mug. Thus, I make the coffee and pour it on another cup when it's done. So far so good. Some people have complained about a plastic taste to their coffee if you leave the coffee in there too long (since the press has plastic parts). I've had no problems so far.

- Q:Ok when I buy press on nails it's says on the back of the box: Wear beyond 7 days not recommended why are you not suppose too wear them beyond 7 days what will happen?
- Press on nails start to look old or get doubles under them. Also press on nails usually do not last that long.

- no, but bench press is much more effective for gaining muscle ** IBNFE USN, push ups dont give u definition, u get that by lowering ur body fat ur working out ur chest way too much, ur muscles need time to rest in order to grow, do chest 2-3 times a week at most.

If im brewing this one pound with a french press, would i be making the same amount of coffee that a drip brewer could have made me?
- Drip takes more coffee. Drip is ground more fine than french press.

- The muscles used in the bench press are the following: -Pectoralis Major, but mainly the sternal (lower) head. -Triceps -Anterior Deltoids (the front segment) Other muscles that are involved but not really trained in this exercise are: -The wrist flexors/extensors (forearms) -Biceps (for stabilization) The effects of different grips - a closer grip will shift the stress onto the triceps more. A wider grip will shift the stress onto the chest more. An incline bench press will put most of the work on your clavicular (upper) pecs and anterior deltoids.
