FAQ

Q: My Vacbag keeps splitting when I use it, why does it keep doing that?

Your Vacbag may not be the one suited for your unit, as it will split if it is not the right size for the vacuum cleaner. The bag itself is not an issue with size or shape, but if the hose doesn’t fit into it then it breaks it. We have a range of Vacbags for many models of vacuum cleaners, we can always see if one fits your model or if there is a distributor near you.

Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?

All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.

Q:I'm shopping for a Good-quality vacuum cleaner for my home.I'm replacing the worn-out bagless / upright Dirt Devil(r) unit that my sister bought for me sometime ago. lt;-I find that this unit simply does not CLEAN as well as I want / need it with the suction pulling-in from the side of the beater-brush. (I find that this unit only quot;cleansin 2-inch lines at the intake-side of the brush-head. :-(Considering my shopping (location) options and unit brands; I find HOOVER, DIRT DEVIL, and SHARK at my Wally World at a price-range of $49.00 -gt; 285.00I am considering to also shop / browse at my local KIRBY location.Am I correct to presume that a vacuum cleaner with suction from the Center of the brush-head cleans better than a unit that pulls from the side - or should I expect a unit with a stronger brush-head to clean my carpet and tile surfaces better? And how VALUABLE is a detachable hand-held pipe to my new vacuum cleaner when I have no indoor upholstery?
Royal (they look old fashioned) but are very quality. You need to look online, they are not sold at places like Target or Home Depot. Similar in quality is Oreck, they are also not sold in typical stores. Both start at around $200 or $250.
Q:And why is it that once you've run out of bags, you can never find the ones for your vacuum at the store?(Anyone who uses the word suck in their answer will not get 10 points.)
It depends on the brand, age, and maintenance you provide your vaccum with. They need to be regular serviced. You can do this yourself. Of course, never vac foreign objects, look around on floor each time before hand and pick these items up. Don't run your vac for too long of periods of time. This will cause the motor to overheat and sometimes will kill the vac. Keep the beater bar clean regularly by unplugging tthe vac first, flip it over, remove the screws on the bottom and pull the cover off. Pull the beater bar (rotating bar) out and use a razor or sharp knife to slice down the center of the bar and then pull out all hair and fibers. While it is apart, check the extra compartment (most new vacs have) that traps foreign objects to keep it away from the motor. Clean it out if needed. Replace the belt if needed, change the bag, and put it all back together. This is servicing your vaccum. Do this regularly, like every two or three bag changes and your vac should last longer. Try checking more stores to find your bags and if you still have no success then try online. Maybe for your next vac purchase, you may want to look into purchasing a bagless canister vac with filter. They are affordable and easier and in my opinion more efficient and sanitary. Good luck!
Q:I understand that all Dyson vacuums go on sale everywhere that sells them at the same time. Thanks in advance.
I bought mine at Lowe's it was not advertised as being on sale, I saved over 100.00. When I went to the front it range up on sale (they are very good, I love mine )
Q:why are some dogs afraid of vacuum cleaners?
coz of the noise.....and the fact that it can move....and that its sucks- 3 very strange facts when your the size of a dog and can smell and hear SOOOO much greater than a human.
Q:Is a Sebo Vacuum approved by the allergy and asthma foundation
Well upon doing a little search i found this excerpt from Sebo .uk All SEBO vacuum cleaners are of anti-allergy design, indeed a SEBO machine was the first vacuum cleaner to be endorsed by the British Allergy Foundation for its overall anti-allergy design as opposed to just its filtration.
Q:I have tried duct tape, bounce sheets, rubber gloves, lint rollers and vacuum cleaners. The only thing that has worked is picking out the hairs one by one. We recently moved and the owners gave us a game chair and its like the pet hair is embedded into the cover. (Its just the cover.) I'm afraid to wash it in fear of the hair transferring to the washer and dryer (prior experience) and the clips on the cover may tear it up.
I found good links, sites and advice on all pets.We have a pet rat and they had alot of good sites
Q:Which Vacuum is better...bagless or canister. And I mean cleaning wise. And with Canister, do you have to buy bags? Or with either, do you need to buy anything other than the vacuum EVER?
buy a Dyson. my sister has one... and it is THE BEST... ok, so i think you are a little confused with terminology in terms of calling something bag-less versus canister. a canister is not an upright and a bag-less is just a vacuum that does not need a bag. as far as upkeep is concerned, it all depends upon the specific model. look into the price of filters and availability before you buy. reading consumer reviews is always the most helpful. Reviews say canister vacuums are best for those who have a combination of hard wood and rugs, as well as those who plan to vacuum stairs, upholstery, drapes and other above-the-floor items. Uprights, on the other hand, are best for homes with lots of carpeting Upright vacuum cleaners are best for carpet, say reviews, although most upright vacs can also clean bare floors. If you mostly have bare floors with just a few rugs, however, a canister vacuum is a better choice. Canister vacuums are also easier to carry up stairs or to the garage, though they tend to be more expensive than upright vacuum cleaners.
Q:what is green light for on heritage II vacuum cleaners?
your unit is full?
Q:I am in China and don't have any carpet in my apartment (thank goodness!). I was thinking of getting a vacumn cleaner as it is aways so dusty but will this do more harm than good to my health in my apartment. Is it better just to sweep regularly and mop up the dust? Thanks !
Vacuum cleaners are intended for use on carpets but will work on wooden floors too. The advantage of vacuum cleaners is that the dust is sucked up into the machine's dust container and not distributed back into the air which happens when you sweep with a broom. I think vacuum cleaners are better for health when it comes to preventing dust in the air that you can breathe in.
Q:Hello,I am looking for best vacuum cleaner. I have both carpet hardwood floors in my home. Also a month old baby. Which ones are the best in terms of efficiency and low maintenance. whether it be the central vac, or the standard ? my budget is flexible as I know you get what you pay for. Thanks for your time.
Top of the list is Rainbow, and Kerby. Kerby has many nice features but is expensive. It is more for cleaning hotels and the like. But it would last you the rest of your life. The home models are Dyson the best for home. Hoover isn't to bad. The rest are cheap but will last for a while. With the baby I would get one with a heppa filter so it doesn't blow dirt back into the air. Good luck
