Q:I stay in Gainesville,Tx and I was wondering if there was any places in Denton or Lewisville that does the suspension lift
Dallas will do it for you. Denton they're arent many car shops. You can do it yourself. There are two kinds, A body lift and a suspension lift. A body lift is simple, Just lift the car up place the raisers and put it down. You just need some strong friends of yours. The suspension lift is better to do in a shop. I'd go with the suspension since with a body lift you'll get alot more movement in the cabin since its not really on the chassis anymore.
Q:im a car noob, how do i lift the frikin hood on one of these
reach under the grill and pull the latch while lifting on the hood
Q:i have an 86 cutlass supreme (it used to have airbag suspension) i just put in a set of springs and shocks, and it sits a lil too low if i hit a dip my tires start to rub, what is the best or easiest way to get about 1 inch of lift in front and back
hardly any but the difference in sound is tremendous. The VR6 sounds amazing with a performance exhaust.
Q:In a hydraulic lift, the radii of the pistons are 2.76 cm and 10.8 cm. A car weighing W 8.6 kN is to be lifted by the force of the large piston. (a) What force Fa must be applied to the small piston? in N(b) When the small piston is pushed in by 9.2 cm, how far is the car lifted? in mm(c) Find the mechanical advantage of the lift, which is the ratio W / Fa.
there is errors in framing of the question. The assertion “The device that exerts a 300N rigidity to enhance a 1300 N merchandise” is erroneous. genuinely:- The device exerts a rigidity of 1300 N while we be conscious purely a rigidity of 300N. consequently, a 300 N rigidity is bigger to 1300N rigidity. 4.33 x 3 hundred is 1300. for this reason the income of utilising this device is, ‘A given rigidity is bigger by utilising 4.33 cases’. The mechanical income is 4.33.
Q:It looks like the back of my car is higher than the front, I was thinking I can take bolt cutters, raise the back, and cut about an inch off the spring and it will drop that far?If I do this, do I have to take the wheel off, or can I just cut it while it‘s lifted off the ground? Again, it‘s just an inch, or less.
Yes, if you cut the spring it will lower the car. I'm sure it would be much easier if you took the wheel off.
Q:im looking for a project car, either an import or a muscel car, i want to get the best bang for my buck so i was wondering if you would get better performance from an import tuner or an american muscel car
go with a muscle car, example on fast and the furious, doms car lifted up on two wheels, brians needed to use his nos just to keep up.
Q:I‘m trying to get a body kit for my corolla 2008 but it‘s going to lower my car about 2.5inch. Which will make my car only have about 3inch ground clearance. 3inch seems good but where I live have lot of 4inch speed bumps and it‘ll rip my body kit off for sure. In order to not get my body kit scratched, I was planning to get a lift kit but since I‘m a total noob at these thing, I didn‘t know whether I was suppose to get body lift kit or suspension lift kit. Would be nice if I can get some help with this :) thanks!
respectfully, you put ground effects on to bring it down, then raise the body or suspension back up, that will look ridiculous. really bad bro. honestly. if i did that to my car, i'd laugh at myself. air bag the puppy. only way to deal with the ground effects and speed bumps. or simply not put on the ground effects if you plan on driving to the house. sometimes you just have to accept things the way they are. fyi, i'd hate to think of all the mods needed for a body lift on this. it's uni-body.
Q:in not talking about lifting it to change a tire i mean like how you can drop or lower a car how do you make it higher is it hard to do or does it take long .
One does not 'lower' or 'drop' a car. It rides at the height the manufacturer made it to ride. It is not something that you should try to do. Any modifications you do to a cars suspension will damage the car. Not only does it make the car dangerous, but it would take away all it's resale value. If you have a car with modified suspension you should tell your insurance company, and pay the increased premium. Otherwise they will not cover you or the car in an accident if they can show your modification caused the accident or caused it to be worse. It is a really stupid thing to do.
Q:The piston of a hydraulic aut0mobile lift is .30m in diameter. What gauge pressure, in pascals, is required to lift a car with a mass of 800kg? Also express this pressure in atmospheres.
800kg / pi {(1/2)(0.30m)}^2 Now convert the kg/m^2 to pascals.
