Q:How much for a new set of brakes on a 91 Honda Nighthawk motorcycle?
pads are around ?15 a set.try wemoto, super quick dellivery timesrear shoes about ?20 calipers second hand your looking at about ?40
Q:I‘m trying to replace the rear disc brakes on my 2009 sonata. I picked up a set from autozone, and they are the wrong ones. Brought the old ones in to autozone, and we checked the 2005-2010 pads referenced in the system and none looked like whats actually on the car. Tried every engine/year combo in the system. WTF? Does anyone know if they used different calipers from a different model for some cars in ‘09? I really need to replace these things, but don‘t know what the heck I‘m supposed to put in there. And the dealer is closed, it‘s Sunday
That's a shame. I learned a long time ago to never start a car repair job when the parts and tools stores are closed. You may pay a little more at the dealer but I also learned to believe the manufacturer knew what they were doing when the made the original parts.
Q:I have not ride a car before, I recently bought a motorcycle ride for 2 months, on the brake system, I have two questions, please master doubt: 1, why pedal motorcycle brake system design in the right hand instead of the left hand? Because the right hand has been holding the grip of the throttle work, my hands and feet is not flexible, the last time when the sudden brake my right hand pull the brakes, did not react at the same time to loose ...
It is recommended that you first find empty familiar with the vehicle performance habits and then on the road so safe.
Q:I do not have a suzuki dealer near me, just a yamaha, and some general auto stores. Anyone know what oil I can use in the trans case? Keep in mind it is a 2 stroke. And don‘t tell me to use automotive oil because im not retarded.
Mixed in with your gas.Make sure you use oil that is meant for an air cooled 2 stroke. Liquid cooled engines run cooler, the oil made for them have a different level of ash. My piston was melting when i ran the wrong oil. Your transmission just use 10w40 Motorcycle oil. Automotive oil can be used but you may have clutch slippage.
Q:Whats a good first motorcycle that looks like this?
Buy a Royal Enfield Bullet and you'll have the bike you are looking at.The one in the picture is a 1938 Norton with a stock girder front end.
Q:I disassembled and cleaned my brakes with a brake cleaner because one piston wasn‘t retracting and the brake was dragging. I just need to know what kind of grease or lub to use on the pistons. Hyosung GT250R.
Do not use anything other than brake fluid. Make sure the piston and bore are clean. Ever wonder what makes the piston retract? As it moves forward during braking it slides through the O ring seal causing it to twist . Upon release of the brake lever/pedal the O ring un twists and forces the piston back into the cylinder. This requires friction between the O ring and the piston. You can see why lubricants would be a bad idea. Good luck.
Q:I went to change the brake pads on my motor cyclewhile i was doing it my little brother asked what i am doingi told him fixing the front breaks so he pressed them and now the piston is stucki was wondring if anyone had any advise on how to put the piston back in the cylinder
Banging it with a hammer?? How the hell did you get a hammer in between the pads to bang on it? If the piston has been fully pushed out of the caliper, it should still slip right back into it - unless the seals are jacked upyou know - from getting BANGED ON with a hammer!
Q:Assuming it is well tuned up. 1980‘s Honda Magna series.
It became magnificent while they equipped it, yet now it is in keeping with 40+ 12 months previous technologies. we are nonetheless construction spaceships that place self assurance in burning something that became invented in the time of global conflict II. The commute looks laughably previous with no longer something yet rubber (?) O-rings retaining the astronauts from catastrophe and clay tiles (?) with glue (!) retaining them from the warmth of re-get admission to. i be attentive to it will be awhile earlier and if some sort of electro-magnetic rigidity container would be designed, yet we've been meant to have finished provider clever robots and flying automobiles by potential of now.
Q:I am new to Riding motorcycles and was wondering what is a good started bike. I have looked at sportsters and so on but i havent found anything that caught my eye. I did however see a Triumph Tiger and was curious. I like the bike and all the xtras for it but is it an ok starter bike?
This bike has a lot of power be careful I would look at something around 500cc
Q:Hi, i ride an SV650, for the first 2-3 minutes of riding i experience an extreme amount of braking, even when the clutch is in, to the point where i can't move the bike backwards unless i get off and push it, even when the bike is off, this happens especially when it is cold, it feels like something is seizing up somewhere. Any help?Edit: this also happens when i'm riding normally, the bike struggles, i can feel when it stops.
Sounds like the brake calipers are corroded to a point that they won't release or a bad kink in the brake lines. Loosen the whole caliper perch and slide it off the rotor using the pivot bolt. With a cotton swab wipe a little brake fluid on the rim of the calipers, let it soak in for a few minutes, repeat. If this helped you should be able to insert a large slotted screwdriver between the calipers, than squeeze the level or pedal to activate them, release pressure and gently twist the driver to have them return, repeat. Don't twist too hard, you want them to be able to move in and out freely but not too much at one time and you also want to be able to just slide them back over the rotor with not too much gap. If that didn't work, a rebuild is necessary.
