1.Structure of Aluminium Foil Facing Insulation Description:

Aluminium Foil Facing Insulation provides excellent insulation: reflects up to 97% of radiant energy in addition to resisting other types of heat transfer from conduction, convection, and radiation. The side of metalized PET/Alu forms an effective barrier against moisture, air currents and vapors. It is economical solution in many field. It is a light duty, Eco grade D/S foil Insulation. It is ideally used as sarking and insulation under roofs , in walls behind cladding or under timber floors , for residential and commercial building. Combining with glasswool or foam insulation, it is excellent as a vapor barrier for air-conditioning ducts, pipes and vessels.

2.Main Features of the Aluminium Foil Facing Insulation:

High heat reflection & low thermal conductivity

Heat preservation & energy saving

Moisture barrier & waterproof

Low flammability

Strong, durable & corrosion resistance

Light weight & easy to install

Clean, safe and fibre free & no odour and toxicity, totally environmental-friendly

No mildew growth & no rodent and insect nesting

Q:How much insulation is required in a house roof in new York ?
The US Dept of Energy provides online calculators to answer your question based on your zip code.
Q:What is the aim of insulation in walls and in roofs?
Neither, it is to not let heat through.
Q:do I have to blow insulation in the roof of my mobile home if I install foam insulation under a meatle roof?
Vapor barriers always go on the heated side of walls or ceilings. If you are going to add insulation to your attic and don't want to put in more blown in insulation ( which does have a better R-factor) then purchase unfaced fiberglass insulation to put on top of existing insulation. The thing you need to avoid is called double vapor barriers. Years ago when the first started playing with super insulated houses they would put a poly on the inside and outside of the walls. What happened is any moisture picked up in the walls going from summer to winter would get trapped in the walls and rot them out. No matter what only one vapor barrier on the heated side of the insulation!!! Then your house can breath and release moisture regardless how thick your walls or ceiling.
Q:I'm thinking of converting my brick walled corrugated iron shed into a changing room for winter hot tub use. I was advised by a friend that the first thing i should do is insulate the roof using glass fibre insulation (the yellow fluffy stuff in the loft) and a simple Plywood ceiling but im not sure how i would stick it to the existing roof (dimensions 170cm x 147cm). So..... how should i insulate the roof of my future changing room????
What is he using glue on? Buy rolled fiberglass insulation, install it between the rafters and wall studs...paper side in. You can cover the walls and ceiling with drywall, OSB, plywood if you wish. You do realize that insulating your shed isn't going to make it much/any cooler don't you? You will need an air conditioner for that, but the insulation will help keep the AC in.
Q:this room has an aluminum roof and hardwood siding. All the heat hit the aluminum roof
spray foam
Q:I know when you inhale the insulation from the roof irritates the throat but what can you do to clear it from your throat after inhaling it?
it's not your throat you should be worried about. it's your lungs. wear a respirator....or at the very least, a dust mask. you only live once so make it last.
Q:My new room is an addition to a mobile home, and has a single-layer metal roof. I have 3 "main" concerns. What are the cheapest and/or most effective ways of eliminating them?1. No heat insulation- cold air sinks from the roof to my room, and my warm air rises to the roof and cools.2. Condensation forms on the inside and drips occasionally. My computer, bike, and downhill boards are in here!3. It seems like bugs could easily get into my room, but that's just a suspicion.
You really need a correct "building paper" under the iron. It is aluminum with a tar sandwiched between...You can also use plastic sheeting as a vapor barrier..
Q:i have roof insulation but if i add more to the required depth the bottom layer will get compressed. Will it still insulate?
Simple - make your bottom layer 1" styrofoam sheets- it has a higher R value per depth (1 inch of styrofoam is equal to 4 inches of fiberglass ) and it will not take-up much space and it will serve as a vapor barrier - and it will not compress when covered by fiberglass insulation. (So you can add as much R value as you want - as much as you can afford - with styrofoam sheets because they take-up such small depths in your rafters --- Also, humidity, as on rainy days or sunless winter days, decreases the R value of fiberglass -- weather conditions do not affect the R value of styrofoam sheets.
Q:We had a water leak in our pipes in our foundation and had to re-route our pipes along our roof. We have tried some really basic insulation for piping, but it usually deteriorates very quickly due to sun light and wind. What are some ways we can insulate our pipes effectively without having to re-insulate every month? This has to be something fairly simple and inexpensive. We aren't looking for perfect insulation, just something that will keep the water warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
they sell insulation at the home improvement stores. if you have tried that type then you will need to call a proffessional to insulate with fiberglass and wrap with tin protective cover. depends how cold it gets you may have to use heat tape also.
Q:Best roofing insulation to keep warm in the winter?
The best insulation that you will find is R15 fiberglass that is installed inside the attic between the roofing rafters. It's twice as thick as R12 which goes behind wall paneling. If you're talking about roofing shingles, they don't really act as insulation but architect shingles last the longest.
