SC

A number  represents the amount of carbon( for example S45C means 0.45% carbon).

It is used mechanical parts and others.

SCM

Chrome and molybdenum added carbon steel. There is easy to heat treatment.

Excellent heat resistance and hardness at high temperatures can be maintained.

The amount of molybdenum added 0.15 to 0.3%.

SNC

Nickel and chrome  added  carbon  steel.

Excellent hardenability.

High toughness material by anneal.

Nickel  amount is range from 1 to 3.5%.

SNCM

Chrome nickel and molybdenum added carbon steel.

It is very expensive toughness steel.

For example SNCM630(added 2.5-3.5%Nickel 2.5-3.5%Chrome.0.5-0.7%  Molybdenum).

The tensile strength is over 1080N/mm²,yield point is over 885N/mm² and the hardness is HBS302-352. )
