What is ozone? Is it safe?

An ozone layer is found 20-30km above the ground in the atmosphere which has a major role in protecting human, animals and plants from ultraviolet radiation by absorbing radiation. Ozone has strong sterilising and purifying effects which maintains the balance of mold and bacteria by inhibiting abnormal reproduction. In normal circumstance, the content of ozone is about 0.01~0.04ppm, and according to the standard of FDA of US, ozone content must be controlled in the range of 0.05ppm.
