- Q: Bathroom cabinet combination should be how to buy, to pay attention to what?
- Easy to care, clear the health corner. It by setting the shelves, lockers, floor cabinets and other elements,
- Q: Now the market on the bathroom cabinet brand after another, so that we buy the consumer can not choose, ask the experts: how to buy cost-effective bathroom cabinet? What's the attention?
- Bathroom cabinet is good or bad, you should look at the entire cabinet selected hardware accessories, their quality will affect the use of the entire cabinet effect. Solid wood bathroom cabinet commonly used hardware accessories are mainly hinges, drawer rails, counters and so on.
- Q: So a little help on how to disconnect pipes and whatnot
- Fun stuff... I just remodled my bathroom last year. The pipe traps under your sink just need to be unscrewed from the wall... plug that pipe with a rag so sewer gas doesn't come in. Since you want to remove the whole thing, sink and all... just look under the sink and typically if it's marble or something... there will be some retaining clips holding the sink or top to the wood cabinet below... knock those loose and the top comes right off. After that it's just a job for a prybar and hammer. Those things come apart real easy.
- Q: I am looking to buy a 42 inch vanity for my bathroom. Home depot and Lowes dont have them readily available and special order takes a lot of money (more than $600). Is there any place other than Home depot and Lowes that may have 42 inch vanity at reasonable prices? I live in northern Virginia.
- Try looking for a cabinet or something like that, and converting it into a bathroom vanity, by cutting a hole in the top for the sink, tiling, or putting several coats of sealer on the wood. If it has drawers you could cut them to fit aroud the pipes, and replacing the sides where you cut. You might be able to look at garage sales, estate auctions, or thrift stores. Who knows? You might end up with something really cool.
- Q: Can you cut down a 36 bathroom vanity to fit in a 35 opening?
- There is only about 1/4 of an inch of overhang on either side. Cutting it down that much will force you to remove a side panel on the carcass. Your best bet it to return it, get a 34'' vanity and add a filler strip to make up the difference. DO NOT CUT IT!!! If you aren't familliar with the procedure, you will wind up having to buy another one. Trust me on this!!! Just get a 34'' and add a 1'' filler. Carpenter.
- Q: Which bathroom vanity do you like best and why thanks!?
- I like c because it isnt just white and it makes your bathroom more fancy and pretty!
- Q: I bought a vanity made by American Standard. It has a wood-like paper applied on it, with some material (glaze or varnish etc). Can I use such paper material on the kitchen cabinets? Does it last? Where do they sell wood paper? The stain seems to be fully absorbed by the wood so it is not coming off. I dont like to paint the cabinets. However, this wood paper gives some shade/grain-like look to the bathroom vanity. I want the kitchen cabinets to look similar.
- The height of the kitchen cabinet is not really the problem, but the depth can be problematic for some people. Most kitchen base cabinets are 24 inches deep, where bathroom cabinets can be 14, 16, 18, etc. If you use the kitchen cabinet, do you have a vanity ready for this? It would be a huge sink. If you're remodeling, I'd suggest going to check out samples of bathroom vanity cabinets. The depth of the vanity varies and cultured tops can be any size. They are always on sale at Home Depot. Consider something that is not deep and something you can live with. Another option would be to consider a pedestal sink and these can be very shallow in depth. You should consider doing some customizing since you will be both using this. My wife is 5'3 using a pedestal sink and uses the mirror just fine. I had a mirror cabinet mounted 3 lower than standard and she's happy with the results. If you have that extra kitchen cabinet, don't use it in the bathroom. It will work better in the garage. It will save you grief in the long run because as you get older, you won't want to lean over the sink to get to the mirror.
- Q: I was taking off a bathroom vanity light and the wires came undone.Usually, it is just a black to black, a white to white and a ground to hook up the light...but when I looked at the wires...There is a white wire coming out of the wall above the sink where I am going to put it ing out of the white wire istwo black wires caped together.two white wires caped together and one red wire caped by itself. When I hook the black and white wires on the light to the black and white wires on the wall...the light turns on, but then the wall switch will not turn off.Does anyone know how to wire this light with this wire configuration?
- The red wire is the power side of the switch leg. Attach the white to white and the red to the light's black wire.
- Q: I was doing bathroom cabinet manufacturers, how to recruit some agents?
- Are there quotas and quotations, I am a dealer
- Q: Most retail prices for small vanities are extremely expensive. I am looking for furniture with maple finish. Thanks.
- Twenty two years ago, before it was even popular like it is today, I used an antique piece of furniture, cut a hole in the top, dropped in a scalloped porcelain sink , and transformed it into a working sink/vanity in my downstairs bathroom. And, the oak furniture piece cost only $165.00. Yes, I had to retrofit the drawers so they could still be used, but the end result is well worth my efforts. The style of the furniture is curved in front with a harp on the back for hanging towels, like an old fashioned wash sink to match my victorian bath. But you can use any other style to fit your decor. I refinished the vanity with Minwax Antique Oil Rub. The oil absorbs into the wood and is waterproof. You may be tempted to finish the wood with polyurethane and although it is waterproof, it will eventually end up getting scratched and begin to lift which will result in more maintenance that you may want to dedicate to the vanity. Whereas the oil soaks into the wood, not coating the surface like the poly. And the finish is hand rubbed, leaving a wonderful patina look to the wood. May I suggest that you skip the bathroom showrooms and go directly to the flea markets, consignment shops, antique shops and the like? You may be surprised what you can find if you have the time to shop, because if you have more time than money, you are sure to find something that will work for your application. This may not be the answer you were looking for, however, please at least consider the possibilities.
