- Q: i got a new sweater, and it says to hand wash it...what kind of soap should i use?? how do i wash it in the sink...i'm completely clueless and i'm afraid i'll stretch it...
- Buy some Woolite at the grocery (small white bottle). Fill your sink with cold water, add one capful of Woolite. Put your sweater in, swish it to get it saturated. Let it sit for about 5 mins, then go back and swish it around in there, squeeze the suds thru, and then drain your sink. Fill it back up twice to rinse the sweater (again swish/squeeze the suds out). Take the sweater out, wrap it in a towel, and squeeze gently to get most of the water out. Re-shape it, and lay it flat to dry. Do not wring/twist your sweater after removing it from the water. Always use the towel to remove the water.

- Sadly, most of the blossoms are already gone, thunderstorms or no thunderstorms. They were at their height last week, and don't stick around for very long afterward. - That is probably the discharge pipe. dirty wash water. it need a drain.
- Q: I'm just getting paranoid because maybe a rabid dog drinks from that basin. I am using the exact water that the dog drunk. Is there a possibility that I can get rabies virus?
- There is a possibility that you can get sick from using a basin that is not clean. Because of the effect that rabies has on dogs, they are actually unable to drink. Dogs who have rabies cannot swallow due to muscle spasms in the throat. This is not to say that a sick dog wouldn't try to drink though. Also, are you 100% sure that a rabid dog drinks from that basin? Go to your doctor if you know for sure that a sick animal drinks from that basin.
- Q: Plumber cannot find cause. Has cleaned trap under wash basin. Dug up outside to see if toilet trap is in good condition. Appears to be. Even outside wall has been removed to see if any other pipes are ok. Everything looks fine. I'm at a loss.
- Assuming that your sink drains fine ..... The trap keeps enough water in it to prevent sewage gasses from backing up into the sink (in your case). If the water is in the trap as it should be, the gasses CAN NOT back up to the sink, the question is why isn't the water staying in the trap like it should ( might be getting syphoned out) or the trap isn't installed properly, or the trap is leaking, it has to be one or the other. Are there other plumbing fixtures in the room that might be letting the gasses back up and it just smells like it's coming from the sink ? Just one rule to remember, if the water is in the trap as it should be, gasses can not back up.
