USB ports sometimes stay active even when the computer is shut down, so you have to do a cold boot to get them to reactivate themselves on bootup to detect a keyboard. All you need to do is re-map the keys on the keyboard, then pop off and rearrange the actual buttons (keys) to match the newly mapped keyboard.
