Also, I do a ton of laundry, should I have the water from my washer pumped somewhere else? I have never lived in a house with a septic system I do use bleach, but I‘ve tried my best to minimize the use of chemicals. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

No, have it pumped bi annually. That stuff does work but it send solids into your leach fields anyway. Most septic companies discourage using it because you get a false sense of security and stop pumping your septic tank. Then one day it's too late the damage has been done and you need new leach fields. $$$ You can use bleach but do not use liquid fabric softener it plugs the ground in the leach fields. Use bounce.

Its legal because it doesnt do anything. You will still fail your emissions test if you don't get your car fixed.

can anyone tell me about any oil/fuel additives that you have had good luck with. and also ones i should stay away from.

Just from what I've heard from people I work with, I would not consider any oil additives. You keep oil in your car 3500 to 5000 miles, you don't change it as much as gas, and it plays a very important role in the durability of your engine. Personally, I wouldn't mess with the oil. Lucas Fuel Injector/Carburetor Cleaner works pretty good though as a gas additive.

I recall an incident in Australia where a group of high school kids performed their own analysis of Ribena Blackcurrent Juice (Who market there product with the slogan Contains more Vitamin C than oranges They found that Ribena actually had next to no Vitamin C content.
