Q:I have cable with a cable box that is currently connected to my TV. I would like to put an android box between the cable box and the TV so I can control what to feed the TV from the android box. I don't mind using the cable box to change channels but if there's a way to also change channels it would be great. Basically I want to be able to change the content of the TV from cable box to kodi and vice versa for example. Is that doable? If so how.?Much appreciated! First time posting!: Bob is correct - most media streamers do NOT accept HDMI from outside sources to pass through to the TV. You usually connect the android box to a separate input on the TV and use the remote to switch between inputs. If you do not have a spare input on the TV - a HDMI switch works well.

Q:Any ideas as to how I can control the sound with a remote? Since the monitor did not come with a remote, I can only see buying separate wireless speakers. Right now I use the built in monitor speakers. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.: Your cable box should have volume control on the remote. Perhaps your can get a universal remote to work with your monitor.

Q:Hi, I have a vehicle where the coolant system was working just fine. I had the coolant system flushed etc. The tech did something that bent the heater valve control cable. Not a problem to fix. In looking at this I found the heater control valve to be leaking at the stem. Not problem, just replace the valve. Sure! ! ! It took 2 weeks to find the special valve. Here is the problem, there is water flow thought the heater core all the time. Yes, hot air all the time and a new valve was installed the way the tech. had the hoses connected. This is and H valve system. Q:I have a VSX-1023 that I am playing with the settings on. In the HDMI Setup menu, there's an option Control what does that do? (Here's my setup:)65 Samsung LED 1080 TV, basic model, 2 HDMI inputs, non-smartPS3, Apple TV 3, Cable box, Blu-Ray player all ran through HDMI to my Pioneer Receiver. Thanks!: Control llinks various components using HDMIRight now I have control enabled on my TV and my Audio Video receiver so when I turn on the HDTV the AV receiver also comes on and I only have to push one button your HDTV must also have this feature and it must be activated inside the TV menu also.a long time ago I tried to use this feature with a DVD player plus TV and AV receiver but what was happening is that if I didn't want to use the DVD player and I would turn it off the TV would also turn off also sometimes when watching TV the control for the DVD player would spontaneously activate and I would soon be looking at the menu for the DVD player even though I didn't want to do that.I think those functions have been improved upon since the early days but also even now I must turn on the TV first in order for control to activate the TV if I turn on the AV receiver first the TV does not turn on afterwards or takes longer than I wish to wait.it takes about 15 to 20 seconds for the AV receiver to react after I turned on the TV also I do not have the Blu ray player connected using control because of the experiences I had earlierI am satisfied with only the TV and AV receiver coming on I did have to change settings with in the TV and AV receiver in order to get it to work and also I think I had to have ARC activated too in order to get it to work properly.but that is with an older Denon receiver.not sure if your Pionner needs ARC to use that feature,,,,

Q:If yes , of about which magnitude ?: The co-ax cable between satellite receiver and its dish carries a DC voltage to control the LNB. Current draw is very low Some cable companies use power supplies for RF amplifiers that connect to the amp with a lenght of co-ax cable. That way, they can use the same set of tools to make up a power wire as they do for the rest of the installation. Current draw is probably under 1A @ approx. 12VDC.

Q:I got a new tv. All this stuff was hooked-up to old tv and worked fine. when I got the new tv and hooked everything up, the dvd/vcr player will no longer play on the tv and the cable in my bedroom no longer works, however it does work in 2 other rooms in the house besides the main tv. Q:i keep adjusting the throttle cable and and it either goes into forward and neutral or neutral and reverse there is they dont all work at the same time.: I agree with Richard,you need to be careful when you are setting these cables because someone could be seriously hurt if not done properly.Your throttle and shift cables are the same.You should hook them up in the control box first.Make sure when hooking them up you use the proper 1 for throttle and shift.To check this you can shift the control box and the one that moves first at the engine is the shift cable.Another way to check is the cables at the engine with the box in neutral 1 is longer then the other,the shortest 1 is the shift cable.If you have any doubts get yourself a manual.

Q:I need to plug my 1/4 inch bass guitar amp cable into a small mixer. That can only control if more sound is coming from the left, or from the right. The left and right outputs should also be 1/4 inch audio cable. I wouldn't even mind a kit. I just need it.: Any small stereo mixer with a pan control will do it. Depends on your budget really, and whether you want to put other instruments/voices/music players through the same mixer. I'd recommend Yamaha and Peavey as good mid-range mixers.
