- Q:Hi. Every time i boot up my computer i get a message saying my CPU fan has failed, system shut down to prevent further damage.. press F2 to continue.when i press F2 it boots up just fine. i was wondering if its bad to continuously press F2 every time i boot my computer
- There's a problem. Bad power supply? Bad motherboard? Bad fan? No way to tell you without actually taking the computer apart and testing it. It'll keep working as long as the fan starts when you press F2. But it will probably start a different cycle soon - you press F2, it restarts, you get the prompt, you press F2, it restarts, etc. All that will have been damaged is the power supply, motherboard or fan - what's already bad. It just won't come back to life by pressing F2 any more. It's a LOT cheaper to troubleshoot now, while it's still sort of working. Bring it to a real repair shop (not a retail store with a squad) and ask for an estimate.

- Q:Ok I was at a party last night and two psychos crashed in punching my friends and then chasing me into the living room. They cornered me and i was terrified so I picked up a small coffee table to use as a weapon but i was too scared to hit them. One bloke punched me and took the table off me (smashing me over the head with it twice) Luckily I took it well and managed to get away to get help..The guy lives in my area and im quite scared about pressing charges because he might want revenge. Should I do it? please help
- You could definitely press charges because he assaulted you. If you are scared to do that, then get an emergency protection order (EPO) or restraining order so he can't come around you. That way you don't have to get a warrant on him and have him put in jail if you really don't want to take it that far. I would get and EPO for your own safety.
- Q:I tighten the belt as much as I can (sorta hard to adjust) but it still jams. It's an inexpensive mastercraft 10 model. The belt looks fine to me but I don't know what to look for. It jams a lot, almost unusable with a 7/8 forstner bit. Really annoying. I would definately get a new belt if I thought that was it. I think it didn't jam as much when it was new. The other day the belt just came off while running for no apparent reason (it was plenty tight). Thanks for any help anyone can suggest. Could it be alignment?
- I've been a carpenter for 47 years, I have a wood-working shop in my basement with all the tools for anything you want to make. I think the 10 Mastercraft is a little light for the 7/8 forstner bit, your killing it slowly. Even if you use a belt dressing, then you'd be killing the motor. What you need is a bigger motor. I have the same set-up and I get into the same situations. When I get into these problems I don't even try, I go into my killer the 1/2 inch Dewalt. I only wish I would have bought a one size larger drill press. That's all I can think of, maybe there is another answer. I did try a belt dressing, it only killed the motor, damned near killed it permanently.
- Q:Im Looking for a high end pressed powder ( so no drugstore pressed powders) and i have combination to oily skin... any suggestions??!!
- I have EXTREMELY oily skin. Most powders don't work for me high end or drugstore. MAC has to be among the worst. Does nothing for oil control if you are truly oily and it oxidizes, clogs my pores and breaks me out. The only powders that I've found to work are: -Jurlique Rose Silk finishing powder -Jurlique Citrus Silk finishing powder -CoverFX Matte FX oil absorbing powder -Youngblood Minerals Organic Rice powder (loose or pressed) -Origins Silk Screen powder -Tarte Micronized Clay finishing powder with pm20 These all keep me matte over 6 hours on a very hot/humid day. Most powders that I tried before these only lasted half an hour or an hour at most so this is amazing. They're also never broken me out or irritated me. They look/feel natural, never cakey or setting into pores/lines. When I use Boscia oil free Daily Hydration SPF15 or Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean oil control lotion followed by PLAIN milk of magnesia + Skindinavia No More Shine before foundation and powder or before just powder, I remain matte all day no matter how hot/humid, not even one touch up necessary.
- Q:does the leg press help w/ getting bigger glutes or is it only for legs?just want the effects of a rounder and more firm rearend and cant do squats.
- to hit the glutes with the leg press you want to use a shoulder width stance and use a full range of motion. basically you want to lower the weight as far down as possible.
- Q:I would like to press a purple carnation I got 3-4 days ago. I would prefer to press it onto just a piece of normal printer paper. What would be the best way to press my carnation (w/out getting any books dirty!)? I've never pressed a flower before, so I need all the details - should I cut off them stem, should I press the flower on its side or on its center, etc. Thank you (and yes, I will be marking someone as having the best answer - 10 points baby!) And yeah, I know this is a weird question :P
- I have pressed flowers in the past with good results. Copy paper will do. You can either trim some of the stem or leave as is (as long as it's manageable). Place it on its side between two sheets of copy paper and place something heavy on top. I would suggest to use something like a manila folder on top the copy paper---then put a book on top or something else that's heavy. Leave it undisturbed for awhile. I am not sure at least a month---maybe more. I still have pressed flowers that I have had for 10+ years. Good luck!
- Q:I want to know how to use a French Press and I don't feel like Googling it.
- Boil water. Now I use 1 1/2 scoops per 8oz cup because I think coffee should taste like coffee. I use a 16oz cup. So I put 3 scoops of coffee into the Press. When the water boils, I fill the Press to about 1 1/2 inches from top. I set a timer for 4 minutes and stir coffee once. When timer goes off press down and pour. Use a coarse ground coffee so as not to clog the Press filter.
- Q:I would like to paint pressed wood on a desk and need some advice on the best way to do it? Any ideas would be great!!!
- Make sure that you use a base paint. If this pressed wood is near any water or might get wet, try and find a oil base enamel base paint and this should do it
