Q:Basically iv had my scaffold for around 2 years, it is completely healed. About six months ago i had to take the single bar out and put two separate bars in, i went to the shop i had it done at and they sold me two clear labret bars, at the time i did not realise that these were much thinner than my normal bar and because after time they became brittle and discoloured i changed them to two metal eyebrow bars as a short term solution, i need some advice on what to do regards changing back to a single scaffold bar, i would like to freely be able to change between a single bar and two bars/hoop, but im sure it would cause too much damage to my ear and too much pain to keep stretching it to a scaffold bar to then let it go down and stretch it again i will be needing a single bar at weekends not in the week, what should i do?

To return to the bar, you'll need to go to your piercer to have it reinserted using a small taper. Switching it back and forth from a single bar to hoops is absolutely not recommended because the hoops have a curve and will cause the bar to not fit properly because it will change the angle of the piercing, you can use straight barbell studs that are the same gauge as your single bar though without complication.

Q:Hey guys, so I got my scaffolding (ear) done yesterday. My piercer told me NOT to clean it, and that the best thing for a cartilage piercing is to quot;leave it bequot; I trust this advice, but I wanted to ask your opinion or methods that worked for you :) Thanks lt;3

nonono, industrials or notorious for infections. if you don't clean it, imagine how much bacteria is going to be near it since all the folds of the ear and the oils or your hair. I clean my industrial at least twice daily, and I have yet to get an infection though. What I do is Sea Salt Soaks in the morning and night. I put a little emu oil to advoid hypertrophic scarring. and I have kept my hair up every day since getting it pierced to make sure my hair doesn't irritate it while its still in its early healing phase.

Q:I got my scaffolding piercing today, inevitably it's sore,but do i clean it like you would clean normal piercings with salt water?also how long before i can turn the bar?and how long before i can change the bar?Plus. it hurt so much haha

I got mine about a month ago, but i thought after about a week it didn't really hurt no more and i could rotate it and more recently i can move the bar up and down with no pain. I don't know how long till you can change the bar because i want to change mine because it don't hurt no more, am going to pop into the shop and check. And i didn't clean mine with salt water i got a cleaning solution when i got it pierced and also my piercer gave me a bottle of antiseptic skin paint which i put on twice a week before i go to bed and it is men to help the piercing heal

Q:Ok, so I'm getting a industrial/scaffolding piercing tomorrow and I'm just wandering which ear I should get pierced?I sleep on my left ear;I have I side fridge that goes over my right eye.Also I know the right ear is more popular, is there a particular reason for this?Also how much pain should I be expecting?Thankksss..

if you sleep on your left ear, then i say get it on the right ear. ive never heard of the right ear being more popular, i have mine done on my left ear. mine hurt about a 6-7/10, but pain is different for everyone
