- Q:Hello, in a Construction project who is required to check the scaffolding equipment?check the installation? and frequently check the scaffold during the day?is it the Planning supervisor, Contractor, Principle contractor, CDM coordinator or Works manager
- Each construction site is supposed to have a Safety Officer. If that is not the case...The superintendent of the company using and supplying the scaffolding need to comply with OSHA standards at the minimum. The primary contractor will be somewhat responsible to ensure things are properly inspected. The Army Corps Of Engineers insist that the scaffolding be inspected each day prior to use. Should an accident happen you need to make sure all sub-contractors have proper general liability and workers comp insurance. Otherwise total responsibility goes to the primary contractor.

- well when i got my lip pierced idk if this is the same thing but when i woke up the next morning there was blood on my pillow, my face, and running down my neck and now its fine just be sure to clean it every day and it should be fine
- Q:Is there any reason why you shouldn't?
- They will have a shorter life than decking as they won't have been pressure impregnated. But a very good idea, though. Treat it with Cuprinol (if you have a local, friendly timber yard they might have a pressure impregnator and then you're laughing.)
- Q:I got my scaffold/industrial piercing today..about 4 or 5 hours ago and The glands in my neck are now swollen pretty bad..I usually suffer with swollen glands but not this much..is this from the piercing?? Is it dangerous? Also my ear still stings is that normal?Thanks in advance
- There are a lot of viruses/allergies/sinuses going around right now, and I would say that the swollen glands aren't from the piercing, but it could very well be a lymph node in your neck with a collection of white blood cells grouping together to go fight the bacteria possibly from the piercing. And the stinging is fine, mine hurt for a really long time after I got it. Actually it still hurts quite often. But just keep applying the sea salt mixture three times daily and you should be healed up in no time! (:
- Q:I'm 14 and getting my scaffold pierced soon. I am terrible with nerves and pain. I had a panic attack getting my doubles pierced. To calm my nerves, can you tell me what to expect?
- I've passed out getting shots before! Almost to the point where I had a seizure. And I got mine done, and I thought I was going to pass out again! But my lady was really nice. It really doesn't feel like anything more than a lobe piercing, but you feel a bit of a pinch the second time it goes through. Nothing more! You'll be fine. - Scaffolding is the framework of metal tubes and wooden planks which is built up around a building, so the workers can stand safely.
- Q:im quite high up so would have to do the job internally (from the inside..avoiding climbing on roof). it seems that a material (looks like cement?) was used on this old roof (on the inside) and some of this has washed away as i can see daylight where the rain water is leaking through. there's also no black felt evident
- You cannot repair any roof from the inside. Whoever did that internal patch was a hack.
- Q:I had my scaffolding piercing done on tuesday (now sunday) and it is still really painful and sore. But my main concern is that the skin under the bar looks like it's being pushed down and the skin is growing around the bar? Is this bad?
- Yes it is bad if I looks as if it has the skin growing around it. I would see your piercer about that.
- Q:I'm asking this in favour of my friend who currently has no internet.She had her scaffold piercing done about 2 days ago and today it got knocked and started bleeding. It's been bleeding for about 3 hours now and she's worried about it.
- First you gotta stop touching it, that's probably causing the irratation, hence bleeding. IT'll take time to heal, just leave it alone clean out the blood every hour or so, BE CAREFUL! and LEAVE IT IN!
