- no. there are different resins and some are more expensive than others, but generally if you want a transparent plastic which you can pour before hardening you are stuck with resins.

- White exhaust is a good indication of water getting out through the exhaust. This can indicate that the head gasket if blown, or a crack in the head. If your engine has an aluminum head, I would bet that you also have some hairline fractures as well as a possibly blown gasket. Even the steel heads will crack if frozen, or hot enough. Also, it should not be driven until it is properly checked, and fixed. Your definition of the exhaust smell isn't a good indication of anything. Could it be antifreeze mixed in that smell, and not the smell of diesel? In any case you should get it checked right away. If you had temperatures of 25 degrees, or below for more than five hours, and didn't have antifreeze to protect from freezing, you could not only have a crack in the head, but also a freeze plug opening up. It isn't likely to have popped completely out yet, but could be pushed out enough to cause an additional leak that you may not have yet noticed.

- Fiberglass is a substrate, not a resin. When you are building a composite structure the substrate (Fiberglass, Kevlar, Carbon Fiber, etc.) provides the strength, while the binder keeps the substrate in its shape. My personal favorite Clear Resin is West Systems Epoxy hardened with the extra clear hardener. It mixes up yellow but hardens clear. And no, Kevlar is translucent yellow when it is wetted out with resin, plus it is more flexible than glass, which is more flexible than carbon.
