Q:ive had 7 flat tires in the last two months, ive used green slime, green tire tape etc and keep getting flats.i only ride on streets but keep getting flats is there a product that can guarantee no more flats?
The most common suspect in flat tires is the tire, not the tube. If your tires are old, worn and dries out, they are much less puncture resistant. A good quality, new tire will probably reduce the number of flats you are having. All that other junk you have been using are a waste of time and money.
Q:The difference between car tires and truck tires
First, the specifications are not the same model, the size is not the same. Two; load different.
Q:I currently have Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S (215/60R16 95V) tires in my car. I want to switch to low profile, wider tires. I was looking at the Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3 (225/50R16 92Y). Can you switch the size of the tires like that? I have 2008 Hyundai Sonata SE
your speedo will only change slightly like 1mph. the tires you're looking at are wider than your originals and may give you a little bulge which can give you minor sway around corners, that you will not be able to notice. i personally do not recommend going to a lower profile tire because the biggest impact is made on comfort, and the lower you go, the more crap you feel while driving around and you risk bending a rim on a pot hole or something. the lower profile tires are a little more visually appealing, but try and steer clear from attempting to turn your sonata into eye candy. if you're just trying to pick those lower profile tires because they're a lot less expensive, then i'd say go for it! the pros and cons are small
Q:My parents moved and the property‘s previous owners left tons of old tires. How can we get rid of them?
Bring used tires to either a tire retailer, service station or local recycling facility that accepts and must then recycle tires. First, confirm that the selected location is currently accepting used tires. Notice when or if a local municipality offers a tire amnesty. The program allows local citizens to deposit a limited number of used tires at a drop off site for free
Q:Whats the diff between AT and MT tyre? what are the advantages and the disadvantages? thanks.
All Terrain and Mud Terrain. All terrain is better, unless you like a lot of noise, or live in a swamp. AT performs much better in all climates, and conditions. Bridgestone's Dueler line of tires offers a good variety, excellent wear, warranty, and, performance. (I sound like a commercial). and it's TIRE.
Q:Thw Tire Pressure Warning signal of my 09 Versa is on. Anybody has the same problem.
Soooooooooooooooooooo get a tire pressure reader and CHECK THE PRESSURE! It's really not that hard to use your brain. It's there for a reason.
Q:Tire sizes are F: 225x40x18 R: 295x30x18Original tires were Michelin Sport
I personally lean toward the tires with the N0, N1, N2, N3 ratings because these tire were designed with the help of Porsche in that they react in a positive manner with the suspension. I know there are newer designed tires out there, but I don't worry about the reactions with my "N" tires at 180mph either. At that speed I worry about the ditch at the side of the road ;)
Q:175/70R14 i have a 91 Mitsubishi and i need a one used tire where should i go?
AEM, Injen, BBK, Fujita. Personally I've liked AEM the best. When upgrading your air intake, you always want to buy from a reputable dealer that actually sells it as a kit. Never go out and just buy a filter and random pipe. Intakes engineered by companies such as AEM are specifically designed for each vehicle for max airflow and do actually have dyno proven results that show gains of horsepower, unfortunately though it is true that you pretty much won't actually feel the power gain because it is only a small amount. It's also not just about the tubing but the filter as well, AEM's Dryflow filters work great and are very free flowing, low maintenance and have a lifetime warranty as well as the tubing. Also most of those horsepower gains are true, just it's at the flywheel not the wheels. It will add the 10-12 hp gain or whatever they say, just by the time it gets to the wheels it's really only a 2-3 hp gain. You also won't get the most out of it without further modifying the engine. dick car guy, those well engineered stock intakes aren't engineered very well, they are made out of the cheap materials the keep costs at their lowest and are not there for maximum airflow, just simply to get the job done, they just are nowhere near as free flowing as aftermarket intakes.
Q:I have a 2 part question about tire warranties. I purchased new tires from Sears, my first question would be if I sale my car will the new owner still get the lifetime tire rotation/balance and road hazard warranty I purchased with my new tires? My follow up question would be if I simply decide to keep the new tires and put them on my vehicle I just purchased would I still get the tire rotation/balance and road hazard warranty since its not the original vehicle the tires were installed on?
Free Tire Rotation Sears
Q:I have the stock irc road winners and I‘m at 9,000 miles some dry rot rear tire at wear markers I plan to put tires that actually grip and are wider rear tires better?
For sticky tires, your options are Bridgestone BT45, Metzeler Lasertec, Pirelli Sport Demon, Dunlop GT501 and just Slightly down the scale (gives longer life, but still track-day worthy grip) is the Avon Roadrider. Wider tires generally slow the steering of the bike down. They also alter the contact patch, as the tire is 'pinched' in the rim, leading to a smaller contact patch and less potential lean angle. Wider tires weigh more, so you have additional unsprung weight to deal with, which slows down suspension action. Overall, it's just a bad idea to put tires on the bike that are too large for the rim width. If you really want to do some digging on what tires fit the rims, they are 2.75 front and 3.50 rear.
