Q:If I use a transfer cable to transfer data from an old 360 to a new slim one can I choose what I transfer? I want to transfer my gamer profile and my saves but I want to leave everything else on there, can I do this without erasing everything off the old one?
Yes, when you plug in your transfer cable the xbox dashboard will bring up a check list bring just check all the stuff you want to have transfered. When you transfer your gamer profile and saves they will no longer be on your old harddrive but everything else will be there. If you are just transfering your gamer profile and saves you can just recover your Gamer Tag which will be easyer and will save you $20 on the transfer cable. to do this just go to the dashboard and press the xbox button and it is right there. You will have to download your map packs, game demos, arcade games, and videos again but will not have to pay as long as you bought them on your profile

Q:I need to connect two laptops with a communications cable to transfer data between them. I had backed up all the data one from one computer to the other, by linking them them with a communications cable (i don't know if it is a croosover cable or anything). It had worked, and i had copied data by browsing the computer through the other one. But know i can't figure out which ip address i had given each and blablabla. I need to connect them successfully and transfer data. THe computers both have xp, one has home edition, other professional. please help.
Go into your Network Connections folder. Click on Setup a new Connection and the New Connection Wizard will appear. On the first page you are asked what you wish to do, select the option of an advanced connection. Follow the pages and ensure that the Workgroup is the same for each system, and that the computer names are different. Do the same on the second computer and you will soon have a connection between the two computers where you can share data and printers if you wish to do that too. It is all very simple and easy to do when you use the Wizard. You will eventually come to a page which asks if it is a virtual private network, select no. The next page asks who will be able to connect to the computer, select the account you wish to use on the other computer for file transfers. Finish up will each page it is pretty self explanatory. You can delete this connection at any time. Just right click on the connection in the Network Connections folder and select the option to delete the connection. You may need to disable the connection first. If the delete option is grayed out, select disable, then right click again and now select delete. Good luck and much success in getting your two systems communicating with each other. It is really not difficult, as you can create as many network connections as you like. It is a good idea to name each connection a descriptive name in order to easily tell which is which at a glance.
Q:i have the i860 cam phone just bought usb data cable i was told at the sprint store to download software frm the motorola website i did but my desktop does not reconize the usb cable
Your 'desktop' probably is not finding the phone as the driver is not yet installed. Your 'desktop' will try to find the phone as it would with any other device or hardware you try to connect, add, or install. The sofware you downloaded should contain a driver that will allow the 'desktop' to 'recognize' the phone and the instructions included or on Motorola's website should be able to walk you through installing the driver.
Q:I just recieved a data cable for the Samsung a860. But when I plug it in, the computer doesn't recognize it! It recognizes that something is there, and charges the phone, but it won't let me access it to put in ringtones and wallpaper, etc.Does anyone know how to do it? HELP!?!?!?
You did not say what phone company you have. Go to your phone company and log on. Then their should be a synchronization program for your specific phone to download. You need this synch program to recognize and transfers files from computer to phone and phone to computer. Follow instructions and you are ready to go.
Q:I have a Motorola V500 phone. I have no Data Cable, it has no wireless connectivity options except GPRS.Two questions:1. How can I do it?2. Can you give examples of FREE mobile image uploader site? Thanks in advance.
If you have a personal website, flickr account, etc you should be able to just upload your photos there. Once they are up enter the url of image you want into your phones web/wap browser and you should be able to download and save to the phone.
Q:I need another sata data cable in order to hook up my dvd drive with my mother board and I was wondering where I can get one? Or do I actually need that cord or just the one connecting it to the psu? Also, I was wondering what are the different methods that I can use to get internet into the desktop I am building? Thanks,Rob
Radioshack or Microcenter(if you have one around) or Best Buy might have the cord. It's pretty hard to find computer parts in physical stores. Also you can get internet into a desktop using a wired connection that wires into the back of the computer using ethernet cable. For this you'd need a modem that is connected to the internet, you then run the cord from the modem to the computer. Almost every computer has atleast one built in ethernet connector. You could also get a PCI or USB wireless card if you have those slots availible and run a wireless network.
Q:i wana coopy some pictuers from my Motorola V3 red mobile to my pc and i have the cable but i dont now hou to it
You also need Motorola software CD to transfer file from the phone via a USB cable. *Please correct me if I'm wrong, thanks!
