Q:So i just got a French press and are a little unsure of how to use it properly. The directions and other websites have said to only use coarsely ground coffee in the press ( the directions said it would clog the filter and other how-to sites said it would go through the filter). My question is then this: is pre ground coffee (ex. fresh market Christmas blend) from the store not a good idea to put in the French press? I do not have a coffee grinder and am not planning on buying one.
Unfortunately you cannot use ground coffee from the supermarket, or even coffee you grind in a regular coffee grinder for a French Press because the grind will be too fine. As you noted, the directions for the press tell you to use coarse-ground beans and the only way to really get a uniform grind is to use a Burr Grinder ... and they aren't cheap. The good news is that you can use your French Press for tea (using tea bags or whole loose leaves).
Q:when i work out i always start out by benching. recently, instead of taking a break between my bench press sets, i have been doing sets of 10 - 20 pushups, then taking a short rest, and then doing another set on the bench. i usually do about 3 - 4 sets of eachdoes anyone know if that is a good way to do it
you need to rest for get some ATP back, so take a 20-30 sec rest in between bench pressing sets bench pressing = more strenuous than pushups, and they target the same muscles so you're actually doing less weight when you do the pushups. in other words, if you weigh 150, and you're bench pressing 200 x15, then u do a set of pushups, say 25...the pushups will act as a lesser weight...so do them later in your workout, by the time you're done you should barely be able to do 4 sets of pushups.
Q:i'm 5ft8 and weights 185 and i am 17 male. when i was about 170~175 pound last time i remember doing 4~5 reps of 185 pound bench press. i regulary benched 6~8 reps of 135 pound. is it bad?and i haven't go to the gym for long time because i really don't have time to go there right now. how much weight do i need to bench at my weight? and i saw some skinny guy can bench more than me.. how can guy who is smaller than be can bench more?
That's OK.
Q:I just recently heard of the leaf pressing hobby and it sounds fun and interesting but I do not know much, so I may sound very new and stupid but I'd love it if you helped!1. How long should I press the leaves for?2. How long would they last?3. Should I hang them up or find a nice sized journal with blank pages to put them in?4. IF I hung them up, what sort of paper would I use and how?5. IF I used a nice journal, how would I attach the leaves? I think I saw someone who threaded them on, would that be an okay way to do so?I think that that's about all I have to ask, but if you have any tips and tricks let me know!Thank you!
in schools art class.we would take 2 pieces of wax paper and put the leaves inside then iron them and they last forever :)
Q:Is it possible for a family to press charges on a single child out of a group just for being suspected (by mere rumors) of vandalizing their house before?
in basic terms seeing the motor vehicle won't be sufficient, You or somebody else has to might desire to definitely see her whilst she did it. in case you filed a checklist, call the officer who took the checklist and supply him the names, addresses and contact numbers of persons who observed the progression.
Q:If I were to press charges against somebody for assault, what happens? What is the typical process, both for them and for myself?
When you sign a warrant against someone for assault press charges a police report explaining the circumstances of your complaint is forwarded to the District Attorneys Office. You should have already provided a sworn statement relating the events as they occurred. Once you sign the warrant the police will attempt to locate and arrest your assailant. After their arrest a court date is provided where the suspect will be told what the charges are against them. It will also be determined if they are represented by an attorney or if they wish to plea prior to a trial. If a plea is submitted, the court will sentence the suspect. If no plea is submitted, the trial date will be scheduled and the judge or jury will determine if the suspect is guilty or not at that trial. Then the suspect will be sentenced.
Q:What should an athletic 16 year old male about six foot three, that weighs about 160 pounds bench press.
Well, the answer can be subjective since not every one is the same. Generally speaking, you should be able to bench press your own body weight for reps. The build of your physique does affect your bench press as well. For example, a tall lanky guy with longer arms is somewhat at a disadvantage in comparison to a shorty stocky guy with short arms who's range of motion is naturally less.
Q:I want a ten inch flour tortilla press without a non-stick surface because non stick surfaces impart chemicals into the food. All the ones I've seen do. Suggestions?
older presses are not non stick.
Q:I work with a hydraulic press to press flat objects that have a different area. How can something , for example, that is 10 by 10 be pressed at 150 psi and equal 30 tons but the same exact thing only smaller pressed at 150 psi only have 15 tons acting on it? I know we get what Tons it should be by (Area * PSI)/ 2000 What I do not understand is how equal PSI can result in different pounds of weight being applied to an object? Is the PSI whats moving the hydraulic press up to close and the pounds of weight how tight its pressing whats in the middle?
A 30 ton press operating at 150 psi must have a hydraulic cylinder with a diameter of approx. 22 1/2 inches. Most presses are rated at their maximum force output. The only way that you can change the load applied by the press is to change the pressure applied to the hydraulic cylinder. With 150 psi hydraulic fluid furnished to the ram or cylinder your press will always have an output of 30 tons, If the press die is 100 inches square, the pressure that will be applied by the die will be 30 tons = 60,000 pounds/100 sq. inches = 600 psi.
Q:okay, so a few days ago my ipod was stolen in school. I manage to hunt and track down the kid who did it, but he claimed he doesn't have it anymore. I had him arrested and pressed charges against him. What does pressing charges actually do? and will i get compensation in anyway for my stolen property?
Pressing charges means to bring an accusation against the suspect. (You PRESSED forward in your quest)
