Q:Do you need a battery pack or whatever for active guitar pick ups or will they still work without?
You will need 9,12 or 18 volts for a preamp to drive the active pick up signal. 9 and 18 volts are the most common. A few active pickups can work a little with a dead battery, but you need a battery.
Q:Hello, I am using a SOTEC Winbook WA2200 Laptop. I have a battery problem which is the battery does not have a backup of even 10 minutes. I searched for batteries in OKorder but i didn't find any. So please let me know if there is any other batteries i can buy. No matter it is a other brand. DELL or something i can use instead of this. Thanks PLEASE HELP! I found this behind the battery.SOTEC WABT02Battery Pack LI4401AOutput: 14.8v 4400mAh S/N
Go on that computer website and it should be on there
Q:I have an electric lawn mower. I love that its 'green', but to run the mower, I have to plug it in to a huge extension cord. I have a small yard, but I wish I could find a rechargeable battery pack or something for it. Are there rechargeable batteries that I could plug my mower into?
There are lawnmowers that run off batteries, I have one, but if yours plugs into a wall outlet then it runs on 110 volts and they don't make 110v batteries so you would need a transformer to change the voltage, you'd need some way to attach a battery and transformer to the lawnmower. I think this would be complicated to do if it's possible at all, and probably more expensive all around than buying a mower made to operate on a battery.
Q:I have the newest type of controller and Xbox 360 (the slim). Just today it randomly disconnected, thinking it was the battery, I ran to my room to get the play and charge charger, not noticing the fact that it didn't turn off, but it disconnected (it turns off if the battery is low) as if it wasn't synced to my Xbox. It is a hassle to get it to sync with my Xbox, and even still, if I move it too much, it disconnects again (NOT turn off, it isn't the battery life!). How do I make it not loose???
well what i would suggest is when the light on your play and charge goes off all you do is disconnect it then take the battery out put it back in till you hear a click then reconnect your play and charge then voila light comes back on
Q:If i made a battery pack of 13 batteries, each 3.7V 4000mAh in series, then i would get a battery pack output of 48.1V 4000mAh (assuming thats correct).my question is, how would i go about charging the pack? or bertter put, what kind of charger should i be looking for to safley charge the pack?im clueless on how to go about charging it, any advice would help, thanks.
I'm not sure either. A thermal cutoff is a good idea for lithium ion cells stops (or greatly reduces) the charging when the cells heat to 40 degrees c 104 f or there abouts. Tesla motor car has a separate fuse for each of the 8000 cells. A piece of fine wire about 1 centimeter long in series with each cell may be an adequate fuse. One fuse, 10 amp slow blow is likely ok as all your cells are in series. Likely 5 amps of charging current is ok up to 80% of full charge or when the first cell has a voltage of 5 volts, while charging. A fan to keep the cells cool will be helpful at high charging rates. A resistor that increases from 1/10 ohm to one ohm, when it heats to 110 f while touching each cell, might be ok. I think, the 50 volts at 400 milliamps is ok, if you don't mind 6 hours to half charge, and you remember to stop charging at 20 hours, or sooner. Unlike nicd, lithium ion cells are ok about partial charging, but deteriate or worse if over discharged, or over charged. Neil
Q:I live in Houston, TX.I recently discovered that I can get good NiCd cells out of bad power tool battery packs. I have 6 bad packs but I need more. I figure I should be able to find these for free somewhere. I thought about going to the city recycling center and ask for some, but my gut tells me that they'll tell me no. So, any bright ideas where I can get a bunch of them?
I extremely have not tried it, yet it somewhat is the way which you would be able to erase the memory. Discharge the battery slowly, so as that ought to characterize which you will positioned a great resistor around the battery until eventually it is thoroughly discharged. then you definitely ought to charge the battery at approximately a million/4 the traditional value. That must be finished 4 or 5 circumstances, and the concept is that the memory would be erased. I did have a chum who did this very in lots of circumstances.
Q:i have had a rechargable battery pack for my xbox 360 wireless controller for a few months and its the kind where u take the back of and but it on a charger and when its charging it turns red, and when its dsone it truns green, lately it become dead and i put it on and it does green insteadof red, it did tht for a few months but still charged it, now it barely charges it. what is wrong and wat do i do?
you simply need to replace the batteries. rechargeable batteries loose the ability to retain power. i also have rechargeable batteries for my xbox controllers and i would say batteries last about 5 months with regular usage.
Q:I was wondering how long these batteries would last in the new camera I was going to buy. If it doesn't have at least a 2 hour life then I wont buy it.
That's not really a question anyone can answer. When anyone, a company or otherwise tries to give battery life, the answer is always estimate, usually over estimated, and reflects optimum usage patterns etc. If you can find them, look for Sanyo AA Eneloops, which are superior, and hold their charge for a -long- time, whereas NiMH batteries lose 80% of charge after a month roughly.
Q:I am using My Canon 6D to take photography for an event running from 7-12. Will my battery die before this or will I be good with one battery the whole night?

Q:I know you can always get rechargeable batteries, but I hear that digital cameras use a lot of juice, so you'd probably have to have lots of sets. what do you think?
I use Nickle Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries for everything now. They are pricey, but have great power and last a long time if you remember to fully drain them before a recharge, and fully charge them each time you recharge them. My digital camera has it's own rechargable batteries, which are also NiMH. I've had my camera for nearly 6 years now, and am still using the original pair of rechargables I bought with the camera. I think I may have to get a new set some time in the next few months. They don't seem to be holding a charge nearly as long as they once did. But, hey! Six years on one pair of batteries not bad at all.
