Q:my corn snake was with a male during the month of february. she is back in her own tank now. i think it was may when she laid a couple of clusters of eggs. i caught it too late and the eggs didnt‘ make it. well, it is july, and my corn snake has been laying individual eggs for the past 24 hours. why is that? do you think that there will be babies?
It's called double -clutching and many healthy females will lay a second clutch later in the summer. It tends to be slightly smaller then the first with a little lower fertility rate but yes, they will be fertile from her initial breeding in the season.
Q:I am going to breed my leos and I've studied A LOT. I wanted to see if anyone had suggestions. here are my questions: Perlite or Vermiculite? Where can I get on of the thermometers that have a wire you put in the vermiculite/perlite and the thermometer part sticks out of the incubator? Where can I get a cheap reptile incubator? What should the humidity be in the egg box? What should the temperature be in the perlite or vermiculite? How to make a incubator with a foam food temperature box (saw a lot of people do this on you tube if I can't get an incubator I'll make one)?
There really isn't much difference. They are used as cheap filler, both expand when heated, both are natural, and they both help retain water.
Q:my leopard gecko just laid her eggs last night.....i have done a pile of Research but the one thing i was wondering is how do i know if i have the vermiculite moist enough or too moist??? and how do i moisten it once the eggs are in it. o and one last thing should the eggs be covered over with vermiculite? thanks!!
Your humidity is too low. I'd add some perlite and then add water. I find vermiculite tends to cling to the eggs when wet and can drown them. Perlite lets the water go thru without holding it. Do you have a lid on the egg box? If not, that's why all the humidity is going out.
Q:I found it today. I got the flower and its pot on Mother's Day. The white stuff feels kinda like styrofoam but i can break it pretty easily by pinching it.Then is becomes white dust. What is it and should i remove it from the pot?

Q:Okay, i wanna make sure i did everything right. Okay so i got magic mushrooms spores (panama strain) and okay so i got the vermiculite, as directed, and brown rice flower, and put a bit of perlite. okay so once i made the mix i put it into 5 cups and injected the spores into the cup and put another layer of tin foil( so there's two layers of tin foil on it) okay, so after i did that i put a towel over it and put it in my closet a dark one, is there anything i need to do to make sure it grows, or just leave it? please tell me if i did anything wrong and this is just hypithectical, if i were to do this.

Q:A couple of year ago I attended a Stone carving workshop. We made a mixture that consisted of plaster paris, cement and other ingrediants. This mixture was poured into a box and allowed to set. The end result was a soft stone that we then used for carving and making a small sculpture. I‘ve lost the recipe and wondered if anyone could give me one.
Hey Scooter, Here is one: 3 parts vermiculite (soil found at garden stores) 2 parts plaster of Paris 2 scoops water
Q:I need vermiculite for my incubator for my leopard geckos eggs. Where can I buy some? Also, is there any substitute? Like anything I can use other than vermiculite? Thanks!!
Sure. I would.
Q:I had an avocado tree in a large pot. It was about 10 years old, but small since it wasn't exactly in ideal growing conditions. It also had died down several times and quot;come back to life, quot; which also kept it small. In December, it died because I went on vacation and didn't leave the heat on. A couple months ago, I decided to use the soil from the pot for something else. It isn't very good soil anymore, but what I was planting, didn't need good soil. The weird thing is, it had tons of little shiny bits of stuff in it. It almost looked like little gold flakes. What are they really and why would I find them in potting soil? they weren't there when I potted the tree.
check with home depot.. they usually carry it in small bags..
Q:Okay. Im new at the whole lizard business. Im a 17 year old female wanting a leopard gecko. I have been researching these geckos for over a month. I plan to have one gecko, so should i have a 10 or 15 gallon tank? I definately settled on reptile carpet for the bottom. Crickets dusted with calcium fed on daily basis, or mealworms, and wax worms as treats. How often should meal time be? Should i get an adult or juvienile lizard to start? And my biggest question, where to get my lizard? A lot of people say ones from pet shop are mean/unhealthy. Im living in Rome, Georiga so what breeder does anyone recommend thats not too far away and is reputable?
Just a few more things to add to what has been said. I bought 2 reptile carpets. They are very easy to wash. That way when you take one out to wash you have a clean one to immediately put in while the other is drying. Once they are adults you don't have to feed them every day. You can if you want. It's what ever a person prefers. I know some people who feed their gecko about 3 meal worms or crickets every day and some that feed them a dozen or so once a week.
Q:If you cook ‘shrooms will they lose their effect when you take them? I don‘t plan on taking them, I‘m just curious.
yes its safe, but just dont let go of the clutch if say your doing 45mph and ur in third gear and u shift to 1st gear because it can hurt your engine, but yeah at a stop just go all the way down. to frist gear.
