Directly to the floor dealer asked them to either buy professional things do not buy chaos
Bedroom is 14' x 16'. How many sheets of plywood would it take to do the flooring? What is the best size for thickness of flooring? Thanks for your help.
If you are ripping up the old flooring down to the support beams, you need to use 3/4 inch plywood (not MDF, not OSB) to replace it. Plywood comes in 4'x8' sheets, so you will need 7 sheets and a circular saw or table saw to cut them to size. I really recommend you get either a professional or a really handy friend to help you, too.
My family room and kitchen are one large area, I am hesitant to put a laminate floor in the kitchen because of the dog running in and out of the kitchen to outdoors and getting the floor wet with snow or rain. Will that be a problem with a laminate kitchen floor?
Laminate flooring is a bad idea in any area subject to standing water. The water will get under the flooring and cause it to warp and buckle. The same holds true for wood plank flooring.
what is the best brand laminate flooring?
We prefer Wilsonart or Mannington. Ease of install, longevity and warrenty these two stand out. Most everyone talks about Pergo. I think they are over rated. They have great marketing but not the best product. I run a custom home building company... Below gives decent info. I do not necessarily recommend the website just the article. We buy locally for flooring.
Home decoration generally use the floor how much money a square meter
If the use of 1.2 thick, the proposed 80-100 yuan, 0.8 thick basic are doing hungry thirst thirsty killing leek blood magic equipment used. 150 within the same with the 80-100 quality gap is not large, the cost of production within 10 yuan, I used to be the production of flooring.
I bought lamanited flooring, the gentlemen that sold it to me said it was easy to install. I've done tile before so I believed him. I spend close to $400. worth. I ruin some planks because I tried to glue it. Anyway I would like to hire someone to do it, if not how can I do it myself. I know part of the problem is the floor is not even.
Go to Lowe's or Home Depot, etc, and get a self leveling compound. That will help level any spots that are uneven. As for the laminate flooring, Most laminate floors do not glue together unless under fridge. Laminate floors are meant to be free floating.
Can I have 75 gallon tank in an apt. I live on the 2nd floor.
yes you can i currently have a 125 gallon on a wooden stand and 2 30gallon on top of eachother on a medal stand with four legs. the tanks are right next to each other and have never had a problem just put it on a load bearing wall.
is it like from the bottom: floor joist, sub floor, cement board, tiles? or what?
You use a cement board any where you need tile . You install it atop the standard 3/4 wood sub floor. And to install it properly you apply a thin set to the sub floor and then nail or screw it down. NEVER is construction adhesive used to properly install cement board. Using thin set creates a full coverage and won t cause gaps.
