What Are Beyblades Made Of
In what ways do metalloids differ from true metals?
By decomposing the alkali metal by combustion to remove oxygen atom or hydrogen atom... Decomposition may be method for extracting some of the alkali metal...
A friend of mine got me interested in checking out the Metal Gear video game series. I know that the PlayStation games start out with the first Metal Gear Solid game, and before that, there were two Metal Gear games for the NES. Unfortunately, I don't have an NES system, but I am really interested in checking the games out. So, my question is, is it really necessary to play the NES Metal Gear games in order to start on Metal Gear Solid? Does playing Metal Gear give you any understanding of the series needed for playing the first Metal Gear Solid game?
3 Examples of metals which are used to coat other metals would be Gold, Chromium, and Zinc. Gold is used to coat other metals for a couple of reasons, 1) Gold is a ‘pretty’ metal which people will pay money to have things made of. But Gold is also an expensive metal (several hundred dollars per ounce), so one can get the same visual effect of having a gold ___ if it is just gold-plated and not solid gold, thus making it cheaper. 2) Gold is a chemically inert metal; it will not react with many things, and also has a very high electrical conductivity, so coating some other metal with gold will improve its chemical resistance to corrosion and lower its electrical resistance. Chromium metal is used to coat other metals for similar reasons, --Chromium is less reactive than many other metals so one can “Chrome-plate” a more reactive metal with Chromium and help protect the metal from corrosion. For example, many car’s have ‘chrome-plated’ bumpers. is --Also, Chromium is a visually appealing metal so having a nice shinny Chrome-plate bumper is considered more desirable than a rusty old Iron bumper. Zinc metal is used for a much different reason, --Zinc is more chemically react than most other metals and is not a particular pretty metal either. Zinc is often used as a sacrificial metal to help protect other metals. For example, many things like nails, screws, washers, …., are Zinc-plated to help protect those [Iron] parts from rusting. The Zinc will oxidize before the Iron, thus protecting the Iron at the expense of the Zinc.
POLL: RAP or METAL ?!?!?
To me there's a huge difference between Nu Metal and Grunge. 1. Grunge bands had more of a variety of sounds. Not only apart from other bands but even different sounds within the same band. The was light, shade, heavy, sparse, etc. Nu Metal bands have pretty much one sound and different bands sound similar. 2. Grunge had a lot of power chords, open chords, leads, picking, sometimes all in the same song. Much like 70's bands did. Nu Metal is mostly low power chords. 3. Grunge had a lot of female singers. Nu Metal barely did. 4. If you strip away hip hop from Nu Metal, you get Disturbed. Disturbed is no where near sounding Grunge. They sound Nu Metal without the Hip Hop. I still consider it Nu Metal. 5. I always thought 90's Grunge/Rock was like 70's Rock if you simplified it and added a punk element to it. Nu Metal is like a mix of Korn, Metallica, and Tool except even more simplified. Oh, and Hip Hop too. Something like that anyway. Maybe has an element of Grunge in it too but it not Grunge. 6. Grunge wasn't glam Metal. Glam Metal is like Kiss, Motley Crue, and Poison. Grunge is what put those stupid bands out of style. Grnge was a lot more Punk and had elements of 60's and 70's Rock.
bands like Iron Maiden and Holy grail, they aren't considered power metal, yet they sound like it. and please forgive my metal ignorance, but i can't be the only one who cant tell the difference well between metal sub-genres.
Yes those bands were all called Metal back in the day - metal has evolved in various directions since which confuses a lot of modern metal fans when they hear this stuff. Surely that's Classic Rock they shout before rushing to type in questions demanding seperate Y/A sections for each individual metal subgenre. Same thing has happened to punk and goth.
I really want a good combo/custom for my beyblade metal fight/fusion topsPlz answer a good combo!
well good for you to listen to death metal and not slipknot (thank satan). heres a bunch of death metal bands (no nu metal and grindcore/deathcore crap). also the occasional black metal band that is really good. Arch Enemy Amon Amarth Bloodbath Braindrill Behemoth Cannibal Corpse Carcass Death Deicide Dying Fetus Dimmu Borgir (black metal) Exodus (heavy thrash metal but good stuff) Entombed Gorgoroth (black metal) In Flames (only the old stuff. the new albums are all terrible worthless crap) Immolation Kataklysm Morbid Angel Mayhem (black metal. not a personal favorite but lots of ppl like them) Nile Obituary Opeth (black metal) Possessed Slayer (not death metal but i love them. you probably know them already tho :P) Soilwork Vader Vital Remains Venom (early black metal/heavy thrash. either way they are a good band to check out) That should be about all you need to know till you get more into the genre. Believe it or not theres still hundreds of other death metal bands but only true hardcore fans would ever hav heard of them. This will keep you busy for a bit tho i suspect. Enjoy your journey into this fabulous genre of music =)
Or are they more black metal?
A semi conductor and a conductor differ mostly in the number of free electrons in the element. I'm not clear on what you mean by generate electricity as they do not normally generate electricity but are used to make various electronic components (transistors and such ) silicon, germanium are two examples.
Can anyone recommend me any good Scottish metal bands? The only one I know is Alestorm. And no -core bands please.
Ferrous metals are metals that contain iron. Mercury is an element all its own, so by definition it does not include iron. So it is a non-ferrous metal. There are several different definitions for base metal. One is any non-precious metal. Another is any metal that oxidizes easily, and another is a metal that is used to make coins.
