does battery world repack batteries? if they do, how much does it cost?

some Anton Bauer battery packs are made with individual cells ( D size) internally. they can be re-celled (not repacked) yourself or by a technician. i used to do this at various television stations i worked at. i am not aware of any other type battery pack that is can be done with. it would cost about 1/4th the price of a new pack.

get a hand held GPS for walking. i use a Garmin. it has features more suited to use in the outback, like waypoints for finding your way back. real time compass for staying on direction. and long AA battery life.

Well, I don't drive a REVA, but I do drive an electric car with a lead-acid battery pack. These batteries can last anywhere from 10,000 miles to 30,000 miles, depending on how well they are cared for. My own battery pack costs about $850 to replace, so at 20,000 miles, that's about 4 cents per mile. My electricity cost is about 1 cent per mile. So my total cost per mile is about 5 cents, which is much cheaper than gasoline. Again, I don't know about the REVA specifically, but I monitor the health of my batteries by checking individual voltages (they should be the same, within 2 tenths of a volt), and also by occasionally measuring specific gravity (the chemistry of the electrolyte.)

No. You need to use a charger special for Li-Ion cells, and with that a multi-tap charger. You can incorporate the per cell monitoring and charge controller in the battery pack.
