Using the welding brazing rodsI need to get the ali tube up to 400C and melt the rod on the surfaceI've researched loads but getting contradictory answersOne says propane is sufficient as long as the nozzle diameter is at least 3/4quot;Others are saying I will need mapp or acetylene.Please give me your advice and tell me about your experiences?p.s I tried using a propane/butane mix gas with a torch bought in BQ but the nozzle was only around 8mm and that didnt get the metal anywhere near hot enough.Thanks!Kelly
I use mapp gas , it will reach 1,000 deg I have rods that melt at 700 deg [alum]

The answer to your question is BRAISEAround StPatrick's day, i always cook a corn beef in a crock pot with some kind of liquid and about twenty minutes before I serve it I add the cabbageBut if it is not St Patrick's Day, I usually season it with salt and pepper, but it in a non-stick casserole dish and add stock, beer and/or wine and seasoningson special occasions I add stewed tomatoes and wrap the meat and liquid in aluminum foilI braise all meats that come from shoulder and shankMeat that comes from the back will not benefit from braising because it doesn't have the connective tissue that braising will break downCan i come over for dinner? LOL

The package of the bleach says not to let it touch metallic things, but then it also says to wrap it in foil.Last time I used bleach I used foil and it made the bleach not work.So can I use foil or not?
instead of using foil try a plastic bag or a shower cap thats what i use and it works really well
ok so my rims are pitting and the clear coat is pealing offso i want to refinish them and clear coat them afterso i would sand them with 800 then 1000 then 1500 then buff them with polish then clear coat them? or sand them, then clear coat it then 1500grit sand the clear coat then buff with polish?Thank you :)
