Q:I have seen man people incubating bearded dragon eggs, but I am unsure as to wether or not to cover the container of vermiculite they will be sitting in. Also, when the babies first hatch I know they are suposed to be left in the incubator for a day or two, but what precautions have to be taken in order to ensure the babies are safe?: Well if you are using an incubator like the hovabator which is what I use, prior to the bearded dragon babys hatching place the lid with 4 decent size holes on them loosely over, so when it hatches it can jump out of the container after eating the leftovers in the egg. I use a delicup container with 5 eggs in it, and place 3 holes in a triangle shape on the sides, and one in the center, this lets them get a good amount of humidity and oxygen. Hope I helped!

Q:I dont‘t have vermiculite, and a pressure cooker, or mushroom spores. However, I do have a jar/glass, brown rice substance/substrate, mulch (a kind of fertilizer for plants and flowers). I heard from a friend you can grow magic mushrooms out of any seeds, spit, feces, dog piss.The dog piss i know, because in my country, the native people harvest them when a dog piss over an area, and it grows mushrooms, and they eat it. They dont get the effects because they cook it. If you eat it fresh, then you will get the effects.: i'd google it. I do have a dog for sale.

Q:Water resources are faced with the crisis of shortage and pollution. Can perlite and vermiculite be used for water treatment?: Perlite and vermiculite are not readily available, and need to be processed by corresponding processing equipment with a certain process. Generally, perlite needs not fine powder, which can be called coarse powder, and some areas are called coarse sand.To set the perlite processing equipment according to the final requirements, some broken process need to be broken by the jaw crusher, and then if the finished products need a lot of powder grinding processing by perlite mill, can achieve a finished product; if the product requires a large amount of coarse sand, with a jaw crusher finely, with efficient crusher, after perlite through the sieve screening, can get the corresponding size of perlite particles.

Q:Hi.I had an inspection done on what will be (maybe) my first home. The inspection revealed vermiculite insulation in the attic with a 5% asbestos content. The problem is that the seller remodeled the house, including vaulting the ceilings, which disturbed half of the attic. It is my understanding that removing or disturbing asbestos insulation without hiring an abatement company is not only unhealthy, but potentially illegal. Should I be concerned that the remodel caused the entire house to be contaminated with asbestos fibers? Is the seller required to do anything to mitigate the impact thier careless remodel caused? Anyone have stories about asbestos to share? Thanks!: Aw man, I would not buy it. Asbestos is not great especially in the attic. Even worse on a house where it has been potentially disturbed. You can get it removed. If you REALLY want the house, I would suggest getting an envirnomental specialist that deals with asbestos before you buy. For one thing they can monitor the air and see if there is any asbestos particles floating around. Secondly they can most likely tell you how much it would cost to remove it. Removal would involve workers in suits, plastic tarps sealing the area off, and much more. You would not be able to live there during the removal (I dont think). I know in some cases you can file a lawsuit to the vermiculite insulation company, if you can figure out who it was. I think there may have been only one or two companies who manufactured the stuff. I dont know if it was illegal to remodel the house, but it sure was stupid. You have some major decisions to make. Good Luck!! I would like to also note that MANY houses have vermiculite tainted with asbestos. The problem was that when they mined vermiculite, asbestos was in the mines as well. That is where the 5% comes from. Warning to all - not to mess with attic insulation. Yes and it only takes one fibre to penetrate your lung and imbed itself and cause issues - sometimes 25 years later.

Q:I need some real help balancing the nutrients, with the texture, and correct strength. The constituents are about a year old, so they may have broken down slightly.Does it matter if I mix the shlts in with the soil, and vermiculite, or could I simply add on-goingly the manures in water. Will it last longer if it's mixed in? What is the correct dilution for tomato plants?They're all healthy, but I have to get these in some bigger pots stat!I should've just gotten the right soil, huh?: If it were me, even though I was using paper - I would make some holes in the bag to release any 'excess' moisture. Also, check them periodically to make sure they are not drying out too much. It's a bit of a juggling act - they need to stay dry and cool like basement conditions but they shouldn't start to shrivel. If they do, I would remove the bulbs from the vermiculite - spray the vermiculite LIGHTLY with water - shake it up and return the bulbs to their winter bed.

Q:Will regular potting soil mixed with perlite work?: We use a soil less mix that we make ourselves. 6 parts peat moss 2 parts aged cow poop 1/2 part perlite or vermiculite small dash of blood meal or other nitrogen rich fertilizer We mix this by the cubic yard with a cement mixer and a bobcat, but for small quantities I would suggest using a small scoop and mixing in a five gallon bucket.Make sure you mix well. You can find aged cow maure in bags at most home supply stores. We also use this for all of our house plants. Regular potting soil is usually too heavy, even when mixed with perlite, for tiny roots to push through and spread properly, and there is no advantage at all to using potting soil. There is much more nutrient in this mix.

Q:I have 2 african fat tailed geckos (1 male and 1 female) and they always lay eggs. I usually find them flat and dried up and i know it shouldent be like this because they never hatch. Does anyone know how ferile eggs are suppose to feel and look? I read in a book that african fat tailed geckos bury there eggs, so should i leave them where she buried them? What should i do whith them to keep them alive? Q:My bearded dragon layed 13 bright white eggs two days ago. I put them in vermiculite in a container inside a 10 gallon tank with a cup of water and a thermometer. I have been trying to keep the temp in the 80‘s but sometime it gets into the 90‘s. I try and keep the soil moist by adding water to it. Some of the eggs are starting to collapse. The guy at the pet store said to add more water. I did and it hasn‘t helped. What am I doing wrong?? What can I do for the eggs so the will hatch.: The word is laid, not layed.
